How to deposit with Bitcoin Lightning

Once you have selected Bitcoin as your deposit method, entered an amount, and clicked Deposit, you will be given the option to use either on-chain or Lightning.

Please note: Bitcoin Lightning deposits are currently only available when BTC is selected as your account currency, meaning the deposit will remain in Bitcoin rather than being converted to fiat.

After selecting Lightning, you will receive your Lightning invoice number. You can either copy it or click the QR code icon to use the QR code instead.

Unlike a standard Bitcoin address, a Lightning invoice number contains the payment destination, amount, and expiry information. This is why Lightning invoices are typically much longer than regular Bitcoin addresses and cannot be reused once they expire.

Once you have your invoice number, you can use your Lightning-compatible wallet to complete the transaction. Please note that you cannot send less than the allowed minimum, as the payment invoice specifies the amount to be sent to us.
Once the payment is successfully completed, the funds will be credited to your account.
