How to Play Casino HoldEm Poker

Casino Hold’Em is one of the most famous games in the casino world. Any casino enthusiast, especially those who have an affinity with poker, know about this game and have probably played it at one point or another. But if you happen to be of the few that hasn’t, you might not know how it works and what the rules are. In this post, we will show you how to play this exciting and popular game.

The Basics

Casino Hold’Em is like traditional poker. The ranking of the hands is the same, as shown below from the highest to the lowest:

  • Royal Flush
  • Straight Flush
  • Four of a Kind
  • Flush
  • Straight
  • Three of a Kind
  • Two Pairs
  • Pairs
  • High Card

You will be dealt two hands along with five community cards, which will be shared between you and the dealer. Both you and the dealer will have to make the best hand out of your cards. Whoever has better hand wins.

How the Wagering Process Works

Here are the steps on how the game flow works:

  • First, you need to wager a value. This wager is called the Ante.
  • You can also wager an AA Bonus bet after you wager the ante, but this is optional. The AA Bonus is a side bet.
  • The Deal button is on the bottom right. Click it and you will be given two cards. Three community cards will also be dealt for the flop. After this, you already know the basic strength of your hand.
  • You have to decide if you will raise or if you will fold.
  • If you raise, you will wager an amount double your ante. Two more cards will be shown. These are the turn and the river cards.
  • If you fold, you lose your ante and your AA bet
  • The dealer’s hand will be revealed, and the winner is declared.

How to Win at Casino Hold’em

  • Ante – If your hand is better than the dealer, the house pays your ante bet as shown below:

  • Raise – If the dealer’s hand is less than a pair of 4s, the raise bet is pushed. If it is higher than a pair of 4s, the dealer’s hand is compared to yours. If you win, the house pays 1:1 on your raise bet.
  • AA Bonus – Regardless if you win or lose the hand, you will be paid if your hand on the first five cars (your two hole cards and the flop) is better than a pair of Aces. The bonus payout is as follows:
