Mine Island Review

I’d hate to be reincarnated as a kangaroo, and I say this because apparently, Roos can’t get drunk. How sad is that? Elephants, fruit bats, tree shrews, and some birds can get hammered, but not Australia’s most famous marsupial. 😵

I reckon the Skippy in Mine Island from Smartsoft Gaming is an exception to the rule, and the reason I say this will become apparent if you read on. 🍺🦘

Gameplay

It seems we’re on an island off the coast of Rio de Janeiro (that is Corcovado Mountain, isn’t it?), but things are pretty strange in SmartSoft’s world.

There’s a kangaroo and a toucan here, and while the former can be found in the Tijuca National Park, I’m pretty sure Skippies ain’t never set foot in these parts. Be that as it may, I guess the point of choosing a Roo is that it jumps and this is a mine game, after all.

In terms of how to play the game, it works like this. The first thing you’ll wanna do is place your bet. Next, hit the PLAY button – this is where things can get hysterical.

You see, Joey appears to have been at the XXX Gold 🍺 because sometimes he lands on a floating disc, and sometimes he shoots straight past and falls face-first into the ocean (told ya he’s a boozer!). You just never know when that’s gonna happen.

So, the objective is to jump to each disc and collect multipliers en route – there are 10 of them and they have increasing values of 1.2x, 1.5x, 1.8x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 7x, 10x, and 15x. But you’ll want to hit COLLECT before Joey’s brewskis kick in and he goes off course.

To the right of your bet selection (or the COLLECT button, after your first successful jump) is a lightning bolt. That’s the TURBO button and in this mode, the Roo will automatically jump to the next disc once you hit PLAY the first time.

So, it’s almost like the Autoplay mode because the action will continue until you hit COLLECT. There’s also a separate Autoplay feature that allows you to decide how many rounds/jumps (up to 500), the bet amount, and when the automation ends.

Looking to the bottom right of the screen, you’ll see the GAME STATISTICS button. Click on that button to see all your bets, along with the top wins.

Finally, let’s chat about the statistics of Mine Island. There are no paylines, the game’s RTP is 96%, and the volatility rate is medium to high. The largest multiplier up for grabs is 15x, which can net you a payout of $7,500.

Features

Mine Island slot has no features.

Performance

I played hundreds of rounds and at no point did Mine Island fail to deliver.

Maximum Win

This isn’t a game for high rollers but you can still stand to make $7,500 if you land the 15x multiplier at a bet of $500 (the minimum bet is $0.05).

Conclusion

Mine Island looks spectacular on a phone in portrait mode, so if you’re a mobile player looking for some casual action, you should head on over and check it out.

And while we’re on the subject of looks, it’s worth noting that many mine games are very simplistic. You usually get a grid with squares and you pick them one by one and hope you don’t blow up. Boring! I’d rather watch to see if Joey drunk dives into the ocean. 🌊

As I mentioned, this isn’t a game you’re going to make a fortune on, and betting $500 a pop can get pretty damn expensive.
