BitStarz Originals: Blackjack Review

Blackjack often goes by the name 21. Did you know that 21 is a triangle number? That means it’s the sum of the first 6 whole numbers (1+2+3+4+5+6).

If you have a sharp eye, you’ll notice that that’s also the sum of all the numbers on a six-sided die! Coinkydink? I think not!

Let’s see what luck this auspicious number brings us in BitStarz’s Originals Blackjack.

Gameplay

This is minimalism at its maximum. When you initiate the game, you’ll see a column on the left and a table with a stack of cards and that’s it. There are no fancy backgrounds or crazy themes; it’s you, the dealer, the cards and that’s it.

The column has a section where you can set your bet limits, and two buttons for a 2x bet, or half bet. Once you place your bet and you draw your cards, you’ll see options for HIT, STAND, SPLIT, and DOUBLE (down).

On the table, you’ll see 2 legends. The one says, “Blackjack pays 3 to 2” while the other states, “Insurance pays 2 to 1.”

At the bottom left is the SETTINGS cogwheel, and that allows you to adjust the volume. You can also toggle certain things on and off such as the instant bet function and the max bet. Lastly, you can set the hotkeys and check out the game info, the rules, live stats, and the history.

This is a provably fair game and you can assure yourself of that by clicking on the tick icon at the bottom right of the column.

With this game, there are unlimited decks in play. You’re only allowed to split once and you can’t hit on split aces. You’re allowed to double on a split, as well as on any of the initial 2 cards dealt, excluding 21/Blackjack.

From here on out, it’s all standard Blackjack stuff, so I won’t go into an explanation of how to play. Y’all got this!

The awesome news is that this game comes with an RTP of 99.5% and a low volatility.

Performance

I tried this game on various devices and browsers and had no issues whatsoever.

Conclusion

If you’re after a no-nonsense version of Blackjack without the distractions of wild themes and busy design, then this is the one for you. It’s you versus the dealer in the purist form.
