Buffalo Stack’N’Sync Slot Review
Hacksaw has released a new game entitled Buffalo Stack’N’Sync slot. The only buffalo I can relate to is the drinking game we used to play as students; where you’re only allowed to imbibe with your non-dominant hand.
There’s a theory that the Buffalo Club (in other words, a group of boozers) originated in the Wild West. Apparently, playing cards or drinking was done with the “lesser” hand to keep your shooting hand ready for action.
There’s another vigorous activity that men like to use their dominant hand for – spinning some reels (get your mind out of the gutter) – so let’s see how we fare.
Gameplay
Rant alert! Buffalo are not endemic to America, game studio peeps. The animal you’re referencing is a bison. So please, for the love of my sanity, can we just get this right so I don’t suffer an aneurysm each time? OK? Great. Now that that’s out of the way, we can move on.
Our environment for today’s slot is a not-so-exciting desert scene. The 5x4-reel grid dominates, and you’ll see all manner of Great Plains animals as symbols on the reels. Looking at this game on a mobile screen is a joy, and its portrait mode for the win.
Hacksaw Gaming has luckily made up for their zoological error by giving this game an RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. of 96.36%, a medium to high volatility (loves me some of that), as well as a max win of €250,000.
Unfortunately, only fiat players will be able to reap the rewards.
Features
STACK’N’SYNC:
This is the calling card of our game, and it works like this. If you land SNS (Stack’N’Sync) symbols, you’ll be able to stack any of the paying symbols on the reels.
The first time the SNS symbol hits during your game, the reel it’s on will be filled with 15, 30, 45, or even 60 symbols of the same kind. Each time an SNS symbol lands, it also brings with it an additional Re-spin.
If, during the Re-spin, you land even more SNS symbols, then the reels where they land will be synched to the reels that are already stacked. Plus, you’ll get even more Re-spins.
STAMPEDE REELS:
When you land a stacked reel full of Buffalo symbols, this will set off the Stampede Reels feature. You’ll immediately score a multiplier worth up to 100x which will be applied to any winning payline with Buffalo symbols on it.
Also, if more than 1 Stampede Reel comes into play, the multipliers will then be added together.
FREE SPINS:
There are 2 types of Free Spins available in this game.
Normal Free Spins award 10 spins when you land 3 Bonus symbols. The high-paying animal symbols will be more inclined to stack than during the base game, and the odds of landing an SNS symbol are improved.
Stampede Spins also gift you 10 spins after you bring in 4 Bonus symbols. Now, the reels will only have Buffalo symbols or Skull symbols (which have no value) on em.
Each time that a Stacked symbol lands on a reel, 5 to 60 Buffalo symbols will be added to that reel, effectively replacing the Skull symbols. You’ll be awarded 1 additional Free Spin for every Stacked symbol that lands.
BONUS BUY:
If you’re willing to cough up some dough, you can buy one of 3 options.
Option 1: For 15x your bet, you’ll be able to purchase spins that guarantee you a minimum of 1 SNS symbol and 1 Re-spin (very high volatility)
Option 2: For 100x your bet, you’ll get nothing more than just your 10 Free Spins (very high volatility)
Option 3: For 250x your bet, you can trigger Stampede Spins (high volatility)
Lastly, let’s talk about the Wild. This symbol replaces all high or low-paying ones… and that’s all there is to say about it.
Performance
After hundreds of spins, I can declare that Buffalo Stack’N’Sync slot performed flawlessly on all of my devices, and equally well on Safari and Chrome.
Maximum Win
There’s a super generous €250,000 up for grabs here. You’ll need to land that 10,000x multiplier at the max bet (€25) in order to claim it.
If your pockets are not as deep as you’d like, then start your betting at €0.10 or inch it up a notch – there’s a bit of room to maneuver.
Conclusion
I have to hand it to Hacksaw, they’ve come up with a pearler of a slot. The features are interesting and unique, but more importantly, they can result in some super wins.
Not that it’ll be easy, you understand. Scoring off the Stampede Reels can be hair-pullingly frustrating, especially with that 100x multiplier dangling just out of reach. But that’s the nature of the beast.
The Free Spins didn’t bring me much in the way of moolah (but maybe they will for you), so I ended up taking Option 1 of the Bonus Buy more often than the others because it’s more bang for the buck. Having said that, Option 3 brought in some nice pocket change.
I was skeptical at first, but Buffalo Stack’N’Sync slot proved to be both challenging and rewarding. It gets a thumbs up from me.
