Chicken Plinko Review

In February 2025, someone in Pennsylvania stole 100,000 organic eggs 🐣 worth $40,000 off a distribution trailer parked outside Pete & Gerry’s Organics.

Police described it as a “Grade A mystery” and said they were “scrambling” to crack the case – because apparently, law enforcement gets to make terrible puns when the crime involves poultry products. OK, OK, I made this part up, but it was worth it! 🤣

The thieves have never been caught, which means someone out there is sitting on 100,000 stolen eggs, wondering what the hell to do with them. 🤷‍♂️

If you can’t steal eggs in real life, you can at least watch them fall down a pyramid for money. This is Chicken Plinko, and it comes from Onlyplay.

Gameplay

This mobile-first game favors portrait mode on a phone. A golden chicken sits at the top of the grid, dropping eggs that bounce through the pins before landing in multiplier baskets at the bottom.

The aesthetic is bright and cartoonish – think pastel clouds, pink gradients, and a chicken that looks perpetually smug about its egg-laying abilities. But there’s so much more to this game than your average Plinko offering, as you’ll soon find out.

The RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.
sits at 96.14%
, volatility is medium, and the max win is $50,000, and the max multiplier is 1,000x. Bets range from $0.50 to $50 and the structure is simple – one bet equals one egg drop.

The multiplier baskets are at the bottom (their values change based on your bet), and there’s one Mystery basket marked with a question mark on the far right.

That Mystery basket awards a random multiplier of 2x, 5x, or 1x if the egg breaks or misses all baskets entirely. The edges pay more, the center pays less – standard Plinko distribution, nothing revolutionary.

Eggs come in three flavors: Standard white eggs are your baseline drops, while Golden eggs show up randomly and collect accumulated Bumper multipliers when they land in them.

Blue eggs break mid-fall, and release either a Battery symbol (which immediately triggers the Wheel of Fortune) or a Thunder symbol (which launches the Jackpot Game).

You’re not passively dropping eggs and hoping for the best – the game keeps interrupting itself with random events, which is killer!

Click on the Green triangles to the left of the grid to push eggs upward, or red ones to push them downward. These wind effects shift trajectories mid-drop.

Features

BUMPERS:

Two Bumpers sit on the field, displaying x25 and x50 values. Each time a normal egg touches a Bumper, the Bumper’s counter increases.

Once activated (shown in gold), the Bumper becomes eligible to pay out its accumulated multiplier when touched by a Golden Egg. The 25x and 50x values stack progressively – you can see multipliers climb to 75x, 100x, and beyond depending on how many eggs hit them.

The Bottom Bumper (50x) reaches its first activation at 50x, then reactivates every additional 50x. The Top Bumper requires a minimum of 100x before it activates.

If a Golden Egg touches an activated Bumper, the accumulated multiplier is paid out immediately. If the Bumper isn’t at its activation threshold, the Golden Egg just collects the basket value and moves on.

GOLDEN EGG:

This egg appears randomly from the chicken and doesn’t accumulate Bumper progress itself – it’s purely a collector. When a Golden Egg lands on a Bumper that’s activated, it collects the Bumper multiplier(s) plus the basket multiplier if it lands in one.

If the Bumper is sitting at, say, 75x (half progress toward 100x), and the Bottom Bumper is at 50x (with half progress toward 100x), and the Golden Egg touches both, the total payout would be 50x + 50x + basket value. If the basket is 2x, that’s 102x in total. It’s additive, not multiplicative.

BOMB:

A Bomb Egg appears randomly, breaks instantly, and activates the Bomb feature. The Bomb collects all multipliers from Golden Eggs currently visible on screen, then applies its own Bomb multiplier on top.

The payout is calculated as Bomb multiplier × collected Golden Egg multipliers. If there are no Golden Eggs on screen when the Bomb drops, it awards its own basket payout as a consolation prize.

Additionally, the Bomb explodes and breaks all eggs, fully refreshing the field. It’s a reset button disguised as a feature.

WHEEL OF FORTUNE:

The Wheel triggers randomly when an egg breaks mid-fall and releases a Battery symbol. The Battery immediately fires up the Wheel, which spins automatically.

Visible segments include 10x, 50x, 3x, 30x, 2x, 100x, 4x, Free Eggs, and Jackpot. You can also buy direct access to the Wheel for 50x.

JACKPOT GAME:

This feature triggers when an egg breaks and releases a Thunder symbol, when the Wheel lands on the Jackpot sector, or when you collect enough Lightning symbols to hit the threshold. You can also buy it outright for 200x.

The round presents three golden doors on clouds – you pick one, and inside is a guaranteed prize. After you select, a bird opens its beak and reveals a random multiplier ranging from 5x to 100x. The final Jackpot payout is your win × the random multiplier.

LIGHTNING:

Lightning symbols can drop from eggs during gameplay. Each Lightning symbol you collect increases the probability of triggering the Jackpot Game.

The more Lightning symbols you accumulate, the higher your chance of entering the Jackpot round naturally. It’s a progressive collection mechanic, but without published odds, we’re playing blind.

FREE EGGS (FREE SPINS):

The hen lays a giant egg that cracks open to reveal 30 Free Eggs. You can trigger this round three ways: buy it directly for 30x, land on the Free Eggs sector of the Wheel of Fortune, or win it randomly during the main game.

The Free Eggs round uses blue eggs instead of white ones, and these drop faster, hitting more bumpers and accelerating the pace of rewards. It’s the same Plinko board, just caffeinated.

BUY BONUS:

You’ve got three purchase options here: 30 Free Eggs for 30x, Wheel of Fortune for 50x, and the Jackpot game for 200x.

Performance

I played on my phone and laptop, and didn’t experience any issues.

Maximum Win

The max multiplier is 1,000x, and the max win is $50,000. Betting starts at $0.50 and tops out at $50.

Conclusion

Let’s talk strengths. The 96.14% RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.
is better than most Plinko variants that hover around 95% or lower. The medium volatility means you’re not bleeding bankroll on dead drops; the basket multipliers ensure some return even when features don’t trigger.

The Bumper accumulation creates a persistence mechanic where your previous drops contribute to future payouts, which gives the illusion of progress even when that might not be the case.

However… the Bomb feature is pure chaos – it can refresh the field and wipe accumulated Bumpers before a Golden Egg drops, which feels like the game punishing you for progress.

If you’re hunting the max win, the Jackpot buy is your direct path – but at 400x bet, you need a minimum payout of 400x just to break even, and the average is probably closer to 100x to 200x based on what my research shows.

The Free Eggs Buy Bonus offers the most consistent value because you’re getting 30 drops with faster mechanics, which maximizes Bumper accumulation and Golden Egg opportunities.

The Wheel buy is a coin flip – it’s cheaper than the Jackpot but less targeted than Free Eggs, so it’s situational at best.

Volatility RateSlot games can have low, medium, high, or extremely high volatility rates (or a combination thereof).

The less volatile the game, the more often it should pay out, but the lower the amount, the less the payout, as this is in keeping with the risk you’re taking. Volatility rate should be considered in conjunction with a game’s RTP.
