I've been called many unflattering things in my time on this earth. One of those epithets was “chicken” 🐔 and it was leveled at me by Afrikaans people. It was always Afrikaans people (I grew up in South Africa).

It was one of the ways they'd used to try to humiliate and goad someone into doing something stupid. At this stage, they'd have downed a bottle of brandy and were about to do something utterly stupid, so not going along with the plan made you a chicken. 🙄

Chicken Rush 2 from BGAMING inverts that shaming thing. Here, the bird that loses its nerve early walks off with the money, and the brave one still struttin' ahead gets flattened by a Cadillac 🚗.

Gameplay

Earlier this week, I reviewed a game called Chicken Cashway which is a very similar-looking crash game with a chicken theme. Aesthetically, they’re similar, but what do things look like under the hood?

Step Boost yanks the chicken several lanes ahead, treating the skipped lanes as having been crossed, and works the win out from wherever it drops you. Easy jumps 4 steps and the tougher modes 3, with the firing window getting tighter as volatility climbs.

Multiplier Boost:

Multiplier Boost is the heavier of the boosts, dropping an extra multiplier on top of the step you're on. What it's worth grows with the volatility, from 1x, 1.5x, or 2x on Easy up to 2x, 3x, or 5x on Hardcore.

Performance

This game never broke on me, and believe me, I gave it plenty of chances. I ran all 4 volatility modes for a good while, cashing out early and late, and the thing held together fine.

Maximum Win

The max win is $288,075. You only get there when the max multiplier of 2,505x lands on the full $115 bet, and the smallest you can put down is $0.10.

Conclusion

The game's money comes down to one question asked over and over: whether to bank what you've got or push the bird one more lane. That's the same engine Chicken Cashway runs on, so let’s do a comparison between the games.

Cashway waves a 250,000x figure around, then quietly caps the win at $25,000. That number only pays in full at the 10-cent minimum, shrinking to 250x the moment you bet real money. For realz.

Chicken Rush 2 goes the other way. Its 2,505x looks small next to that, but nothing caps it, so the full $288,075 is live at the top bet.
