On the game grid, you’ll see 4 lower value gemstone symbols and 4 higher-paying bottles full of potion. The bottle containing the gold potion is the most lucrative. Land a cluster of 5 of these for a payout of 1 x stake. Manage a cluster of 15 or more symbols and you’ll scoop a bumper haul of 500 x your total stake.
The book of spells is the standard wild. Other wilds can come into play courtesy of the modifiers and bonus extras.
Features
Tumble feature
After a winner is created, the Tumble feature is triggered. Winning symbols are blasted off the grid and new symbols drop down to replace them. These tumbles keep on coming as long as a new winning cluster is created.
Progressive features
To the left of the reels, you’ll see a cauldron full of bubbling potion. Each time you land a winning combination, the cluster of symbols is added to the cauldron. If you add 25+ symbols to the cauldron from a single set of tumbles, you’ll trigger a progressive feature.
You can play up to 5 features in turn if you manage to collect up to 125 winning symbols. The modifier is picked at random. You can see how many symbols are currently in the cauldron in the meter to the left of the reels. This resets with each new spin. Here’s what they offer:
Befuddlement feature: all the high-value symbols turn into low-value symbols.
Invisibrew feature: all the low-value symbols are removed from the grid and a new tumble takes place.
Enlarging Ale feature: a block of colossal 3×3 or 4×4 symbols is added to the grid.
Balm of Transfiguration feature: 1 low-value symbol is picked at random. All examples of this symbol transform into the same high-value symbol.

Unique Features
Potion of Darkness feature
all the lower value symbols are removed from the grid. A new cascade then follows made up of higher value symbols only. Any cascades that follow are also made up of high-value symbols only.
Unicorn Dust feature: 3 or 4 Unicorn Wilds are added to random positions on the grid. These come with a starting 1 or 2x multiplier attached. If the Unicorn Wild makes up part of a winning cluster, it remains on the screen and moves to a new position following the tumble and its multiplier value increases by 1. This continues until there’s a tumble where the Unicorn Wild doesn’t feature in a winner. Land more than 1 Unicorn Wild in the same winning cluster and the value of their multipliers is combined, up to a maximum of 20x. The feature ends when no new winning tumbles occur.
Elixir Wilds feature
The Elixir Wilds feature can strike at random on any spin where no winning cluster is created. Between 4 and 8 wilds are added to random positions on the grid and a new tumble follows.
Moon Seed Mark feature
On each spin, 1 of the lower value symbols is edged in blue. Land a winning combination made up of the edged symbols and a standard symbol explosion takes place. In the subsequent cascade that follows, the Moon Seed Mark feature applies. At least 2 wilds are added to positions that have been vacated. Moon Seed symbol can be active during a modifier.

Plenty is going on in The Magic Cauldron: Enchanted Brew slot thanks to the smash hit features. Honestly, I didn’t find them the easiest to trigger but when you do manage to get on a winning run and activate multiple modifiers in the same set of cascades then some big action is possible.
