Gift X Review

The best gift my ex gave me was when we split up. Sorry, I couldn’t resist. No, actually it was a very expensive motorbike helmet. Not that she paid for it; she got the money from her mother. Apparently, it’s a lot easier to spend other people’s money than having to work for it. 💸

But I’m not getting into ex-bashing today. It’s just that the title of BGAMING’s latest – Gift X – made me think about my past relationship. And also the fact that it’s a crash game, and boy, did that relationship crash and burn. I didn’t cash out in time and I paid the price, let me tell you.

Oops, I did it again – to quote yet another very stable blonde with a penchant for dancing with knives. 🔪💃

Gameplay

Every studio produces a Christmas-themed game at this time of year (which isn’t surprising, considering it's December). You’ve got your re-skins, games that have been hastily thrown together, and some that have been thought out and that actually make sense.

Gift X falls into the latter category. It’s a crash game with old man Santa and his reindeer flying through the sky. They drop presents in the form of participants who tap out before Santa’s sled disappears into the night sky. 🎅

So while this isn’t a high-concept game, it suits the format perfectly.

There are no paylines here, but the game does come with a 97% RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

. And check out the max multiplier and top payout: 10,000x and $300,000 respectively!

Gift X is a joy to play on a mobile device. It’s easy to see what’s happening, and the controls are large. Playing in landscape mode won’t make a difference to the grid size, as that remains the same, but it’s not a problem as you’ll be able to see what’s going on.

Features

Crash games don’t have features so instead, I’ll describe how to play Gift X.

First things first; you’ll need to select your bet amount. It’s also possible to place two bets at a time – in that case, all you need to do is hit the “+” button. Select the amount you want to wager by clicking on the current bet amount and choose what works for you.

You’ll be betting on the next round if Santa’s already in the air, so go ahead and click on the blue box that says “Place Bet”. Now, all you need to do is wait for Santa’s sled to get airborne and hit “Cashout” before he’s whisked away and you lose your money.

If you’re new to crash games, you’ll notice that the longer Santa’s doing his thing, the larger the bet multiplier gets. And that’s how it works – more risk, more reward. You’ve got to guess when to cash out; leaving it for as long as possible so you can make the most moolah. Simple.

It’s also possible to automate the process. Hit “Auto” to select the number of rounds the game will play on your behalf at the bet level you’ve already chosen.

The Auto function only means that your bets will be placed each time unless you specify that it should cash out at a specific time. To do that, hit the “- - -“ to the left of the plus symbol and select the multiplier value you want to cash out at.

You’ll see a leaderboard to the right of the grid, and above the grid will be the latest multipliers.

Performance

I played Gift X for ages and didn’t experience a single problem, irrespective of the device or browser I used.

Maximum Win

You can bet up to $30 (the lowest bet is $0.20), and if you land the 10,000x multiplier, that means a payday worth a staggering $300,000! Now that’s a Christmas gift that’s slightly better than the customary underwear and socks you’ll probably get. Again.

Conclusion

There’s usually not much that discerns one crash game from another, and Gift X from BGaming falls into that category. There’s nothing remarkable about it, but that isn’t a criticism. The concept works wonders with the theme, and the game is easy to understand and play – even on the go.

, multiplier, or payout, so picking this crash game versus another boils down to whether the theme resonates with you (or maybe you don’t care) and if you’re happy with what’s on offer.
