Insurance is something most players will be aware of, but Iâll talk about it because newbies might have an idea of how to play Blackjack, but Insurance might be a bit nuanced.
Insurance is available if the Dealerâs first card is an Ace. It costs 50% of your main bet. Click the Shield icon next to each bet â hit SKIP for a specific hand, or ACCEPT to insure all of your bets.
If the Dealer ends up with Blackjack, Insurance pays 2:1 (this covers the loss of your main bet). If you also end up with Blackjack, you get the Insurance payout and your bet back. If the Dealer doesnât end up with Blackjack, you lose the Insurance, but the round continues as usual.
