Another Trip to Olympus with the Supreme Zeus Slot
Judging by how Zeus is usually depicted, Mount Olympus must have had a pharmacy with exceptionally relaxed prescription rules. Nobody gets shoulders like that from throwing the occasional lightning bolt. The king of the gods was clearly cycling ambrosia, nectar, and enough divine testosterone to get the Big Bang going.
If you want proof that Zeus was juicing, look no further than the absurdly swole version of the king of the gods that Hacksaw cooked up for its new Supreme Zeus slot.
Welcome to Swole Mountain. Population: Zeus.
The Supreme Zeus slot features 1,024 ways to win across five reels. Betting on the slot starts at just $0.10 per spin and goes up to $25. At the upper limit, the slot’s 12,500x maximum multiplier gives you a shot at up to $312,500 in winnings.
Its medium-to-high volatility means wins may be less consistent, with more of the game’s potential concentrated in larger payouts. Its expected RTP is 96.39%.
With the Supreme Zeus slot, Hacksaw is using super cascading reels. Unlike regular cascading reels, which only remove the symbols involved in the winning combination, super cascading reels remove every symbol matching the symbols involved, including matching symbols that were not part of the winning combination.
Coins only appear during the three bonus games. Bronze coins carry a value of 1x, silver coins range from 2x to 4x, and gold coins are worth between 5x and 10x.
A CoinWays win is formed when coins appear across at least three consecutive reels, beginning with the leftmost reel. CoinWays is calculated after any regular wins. When CoinWays is triggered, the values of the qualifying coins are transferred to the Coin Bar above the reels.
The bar contains five positions, with one assigned to each reel. If more than one coin lands on the same reel, their values are combined before being placed on the Coin Bar. The five Coin Bar values are then multiplied together from left to right to produce the final multiplier value. Once the calculation is complete, the Coin Bar is cleared before the next spin.
Landing three scatter symbols triggers a round of Thunder Reign free spins. Coins can appear throughout the feature, allowing CoinWays wins to form alongside regular winning combinations.
Wrath of Olympus free spins are triggered by landing four scatters in the base game. Unlike a round of Thunder Reign, every spin during Wrath of Olympus is guaranteed to include at least one coin.
The Hot 100 bonus game is triggered by landing three Hot 100 symbols in the base game. The feature follows the same general mechanics as Thunder Reign but increases the likelihood of forming CoinWays and awards a total of 100 free spins.
If you’re not keen on hitting the weights and earning a bonus round the old-fashioned way, you can select to purchase a round. Sacred Feature free spins cost 500x your stake and guarantee that at least one coin will land on every reel. Alternatively, you can purchase Thunder Reign free spins for 100x your bet or Wrath of Olympus free spins for 200x.
Is the Zeus Supreme slot lacking originality?
This one feels a little predictable for Hacksaw. Even within its own catalog, the Supreme Zeus slot struggles to stand out, with the original Za Zeus being remarkably similar. The provider seemingly recognized that the first game had blended into the crowd, opting for a dramatically different visual style for the follow-up, Zeus Ze Zecond.
The bonus features are there, and they’re great, as they are in almost every Hacksaw game. I’m just not sure there’s enough here to make me want to come back for more or choose it over any of the hundreds of other Zeus-themed slots already out there.
I give this one a six out of ten.
If you’re looking for a few Hacksaw slots that I do recommend, I would struggle to give you just a few. If you twisted my arm, though, I’d have to say Aiko and the Wind Spirit, Vending Machine, and Rise of Ymir. And if you’re looking for something on the newer side, Grug Make Fire is a lot of fun.
