Awards season is a chance for the iGaming industry to pause and reflect on the past year. For BitStarz, the latest round of CasinoWow’s WOWAwards brought in two incredible nominations, a recognition that we’re grateful and humbled to receive.

The WOWAwards highlight platforms that players believe have delivered consistently strong experiences, and being included again this year is something we don’t take lightly. What are the WOWAwards?

The WOWAwards are an annual player’s choice awards programme run by CasinoWow. The awards highlight the best performers in the online casino industry based on votes from real players. 

The first official WOWAwards campaign kicked off in early 2023, with the winners chosen entirely by player votes rather than a panel of judges. The launch was timed to coincide with CasinoWow’s own anniversary celebrations, and the idea was to give the community a direct voice in recognising excellence across categories like Best Crypto Casino and Best of the Best Online Casino. 

For BitStarz, the WOWAwards have been a recurring highlight. In the first WOWAwards in 2022, BitStarz was shortlisted in both Best Crypto Casino and Best of the Best Casino categories and went on to win the Best Crypto Casino title. BitStarz went on to win Best Crypto Casino at the 2024 edition, which was an honor. 

2025 Nominations

In this year’s edition of the WOWAwards, BitStarz earned nominations in two major categories, each highlighting a different aspect of what CasinoWow looks for when recognising online casinos.

Best Crypto Casino
This category focuses on how effectively a casino integrates cryptocurrency into its platform. CasinoWow uses it to recognise operators that offer strong crypto support, fast and reliable transactions, and an experience designed with crypto-first players in mind. 

Best of the Best Online Casino
This is one of the WOWAwards’ broadest and most competitive categories.
