Exclusive: Top Card Trumps Comes to BitStarz
Top Trumps, or whatever you call it in your country, was my favourite game as a kid. You start out thinking your Ferrari’s 99 Speed will carry you to glory, only to get destroyed by your mate’s clapped-out Land Rover because it weighs 10,000 pounds. Suddenly, you’re stuck defending a Fiat Panda’s “Fuel Economy” stat like it’s Excalibur, while everyone else is busy flexing their Bugatti Veyron.
While a Top Trumps casino game would be awesome, Top Card Trumps from Platipus might just be the next best thing.
My card is better than yours!
Top Card Trumps from Platipus is a simple table game that gives you a chance to win $1,650 at each seat for a total max win of $4,950. The slot offers low volatility gameplay and features an RTP of 97.32%.
When playing Top Card Trumps, you’ll have the choice to bet at one, two, or three seats. To place a base bet, you will need to place chips worth $0.50 or more on the Ante section of your selected seat(s). The game’s max bet per seat is $150. If you would like to place a side bet on a potential tie, you can also place a bet on that section. Once your bet has been placed, you click Deal.
Each round, a single card will be drawn for each active seat and the dealer. If your card is higher than the dealer’s, you’ll get paid. If it’s not, you won’t. It’s really that simple. However, things can get interesting if there is a tie.
If you do not place a bet on a tie and both you and the dealer get the same number, you will have the option to fold or go to war. If you choose to war, a value equal to double your current bet will be automatically added to the raise section of the seat in question. A second card will then be pulled for each of you and the dealer, with the outcome of the hand being decided on that draw.
Is Top Card Trumps worth trying out?
If you’re used to loud, flashy, feature-rich slot games, this Top Card Trumps may be a nice palette cleanser, but it’s unlikely to get you excited. That being said, if you enjoy a solid little pure casino game, it has definitely appeal. One of my favourite draws was definitely being able to select the War button when there was a tie.
If you’re looking for a few other table games from Platipus, you can try out Blackjack Surrender and Three Card Rummy.
