Can you handle the heat?

In the base game, the Enter the Fiesta feature can be triggered randomly on any spin that includes a wild. When it is triggered, all wild symbols will shift to the left until they reach the first reel, turning any symbol they encounter into a wild symbol. If an Enter the Fiesta wild runs over another wild as it shifts left, it will transform it into a 2x multiplier wild symbol. Once all the shifting is complete, the winning amount will be calculated, and any qualifying multipliers will be applied as long as there is a multiplier wild involved in your winning combination.

Three, four, or five sombrero scatter symbols will trigger the Chili Inferno bonus game and award three, four, and five lives, respectively. During a round of Chili Inferno, the Chili Collector will set up shop in the middle of the slot and eat any chili pepper symbols that appear, leaving multiplier values behind. The standard chili peppers will award multipliers with a value of between 2x and 15x your bet. The Hot Sauce Bottles will leave behind a 30x multiplier.

If you collect enough chili pepper symbols during a single spin, you’ll progress through the levels. As you do, the Chili Collector will get larger, and a global multiplier will be introduced and then increased.

Arriba Heat! slot features ten paylines and a betting range of between $0.10 and $30. If you’re betting at the top of that range, you’ll have a shot at up to $163,020 in winnings thanks to the 5,434x max multiplier. The slot has high volatility and an RTP of 96.11%.

Chili-themed games are always a little goofy. I’m not sure what that’s all about, but it is certainly a part of the trope. Arriba Heat! does attempt to be a little more serious in the base game. But as soon as you trigger the bonus game, the goofiness comes right back. It’s certainly not my favorite slot execution, but it’s far from my least favorite. This one has the added benefit of some great bonus features. Overall, I give this one a seven out of ten.
