Find the Origin of Wins in Big Bang Slot

The Big Bang is a theory that postulates that the universe originated from an initial state of high density and temperature that expanded and continues to expand outward. Well, that’s my pop science explanation of the theory anyway. It’s the thing that your religious uncle gets angry about at every Thanksgiving.

Belatra has attempted to encapsulate the origins of the universe in a slot with its brand-new release Big Bang slot.

And so it begins

Groupings of five or more symbols are paid as long as they touch horizontally or vertically. Diagonally touching symbols do not count. Symbols involved in winning combinations are removed and replaced with new symbols giving you another shot at winning.

If the Black Hole wild is involved in a winning combination, it will move randomly to an adjacent free position and receive an additional 1x multiplier which is added to its base 1x multiplier. Each time the Black Hole wild moves, it will receive another 1x multiplier which will be applied to the winnings of any winning combination it is involved in. The Black Hole wild will continue to move around and increase its multiplier until all cascading wins have been concluded for that spin. If two or three Black Hole wilds are touching either horizontally or vertically, they will be merged transforming into a 2×2 or 3×3 Black Hole wild.

A Big Planet symbol is formed when the same symbol appears in a 2×2 or 3×3 grid pattern. Once a Big Planet symbol is formed, it will receive a multiplier equal to its width. The Rain of Planets bonus feature is triggered randomly and will add one or more Big Planet symbols to the reels.

A round of the slot’s free spins feature is triggered with the appearance of three or more Black Hole symbols on the reels. Any Black Hole symbol that appears on the reels during free spins will not disappear until the conclusion of your round.

Is Big Bang slot the answer?

The universe is incalculably beautiful and as such trying to represent it is no small task. Big Bang slot from Belatra fails that task spectacularly. The slot has a hint of what it could be but some very lackluster illustration strips all that possibility away leaving the player with a very dull experience. It does have some interesting bonus features but thanks to its boring exterior, I never really managed to enjoy them.

The slot also has high volatility meaning that there will be long stretches of time between wins. The 5,000x max multiplier goes a small way to improving things, but it’s just not enough. The slot has a 96.11% RTP.

If you’re keen on exploring more of the Belatra universe, I recommend giving Catch & Snatch and The Night Racing a try.
