Wild West Wins in New Game Wanted Dead or a Wild Slot!
This town ain’t big enough for the both of us, Pilgrim. They say that revenge is a dish best served cold, but in the good ol’ Wild West, the cuisine of choice was a hot lead sandwich.
Welcome to Wanted Dead or a Wild slot. This feature-filled game from Hacksaw Gaming takes us back to a time when men were men, and opportunity was there for the taking!
Shoot, steal or buy your way in
Wanted Dead or a Wild slot opens up against a graphic-novel-type of backdrop. On the reels are whiskey bottles, steer skulls, six-shooters, robbers, and playin’ cards. As you’d expect.
Hacksaw Gaming has even designed a transition page for each of the features, so the work they’ve put in really pays off to make this one incredible visual feast. Moving on, let’s jump straight into the features.
There are 3 main ones, as well as a Bonus Buy option. Feature 1 is called Duel at Dawn, and it kicks off when you land 3 of the crossed six-gun symbols. You’ll get 10 free spins, and you’ll have the opportunity to land a bunch of VS symbols (more so than in the base game).
If the VS symbols form part of a winning combo, they’ll expand across the full reel. At this point, you’ll see two outlaws facing off against each other, and a duel will take place. The surviving outlaw’s multiplier gets applied across the entire reel.
Now, the whole reel turns Wild. If you’re lucky enough to bag more than one VS symbol, the values get added, and then multiplied, by the line wins! Multiplier values range from 2x all the way to 100x. Land a VS symbol on each reel, then the entire grid becomes Wild.
The Dead Man’s Hand feature happens when you land 3 or more Dead symbols and you’ll see the background turn green. The goal is to collect as many Wilds and multipliers as possible, initially. On the top left of the screen, you’ll see the Wilds you’ve collected, and on the top right, the multipliers. Collecting happens until you get 3 non-winning spins in a row.
Now the fun stuff happens. You’ll enter the Showdown phase, and you’ll be awarded 3 free spins. Each Showdown Spin will have the number of Wilds that you’ve collected, applied to the grid. All wins are now multiplied by the total amount of multipliers you’ve collected (the symbol looks like a badge with a cross on it). On the right, you’ll see up to 3 yellow bullets, which reflect the number of spins you have left. We managed to score a humongous 168,000 win here!
The final feature is known as the Great Train Robbery. The animation starts with a leering skull and a train speeding away into the night, surrounded by gravestones. Land 3 or more of the Great Train Robbery symbols, and you’ll get 10 free spins and Sticky Wilds.
Wins as rich as possum gravy!
This is such an epic game to play! From the incredibly detailed visuals to the kick-ass features (and the Bonus Buy makes sure you can access all of ’em), to the massive €312,500 top prize – it has all the makings of something special.
The RTP is sadly a sub-par 94% but the volatility is high, so epic wins are possible, as we’ve demonstrated!
Other examples of Wild West-type games with similar purses are Wild Justice slot, and Western Gold Megaways slot. Just don’t expect them to look as cool!
