A Classic Wild West Jackpot Slot
Wanted posters have always been less about justice and more about vibes. History is full of absolute classics: posters offering rewards for men described only as “ugly,” “looks suspicious,” or “probably answers to Bill,” alongside helpful sketches that resemble a startled potato in a hat. One infamous poster warned that the outlaw was “known to frequent saloons,” which, in the Wild West, narrowed it down to roughly everyone with a pulse.
While Onlyplay could have gone further with its use of wanted posters in its new Wild West Jackpot slot, the company did make use of them for a cool jackpot mechanic.
Wanted dead or alive
The Wild West Jackpot slot features 20 paylines spread across the slot’s five reels. With medium volatility, the slot’s gameplay offers a balance between small, consistent wins and the rare big wins. It features an RTP of 96.06%.
To the right of the main reels is a framed Multiplier Reel. The multiplier value that appears on the reel is applied to any winning combination landed on that spin.
Five exclusive, standalone jackpots are available: Mini, Minor, Major, Mega, and Grand. These jackpots are triggered randomly on any spin, launching a bonus game in which only one jackpot can be won.
Each of the five jackpots is represented by a cowboy. Players choose from 15 mystery wanted posters, each hiding one of the five cowboy symbols. Revealing three matching cowboy images awards the corresponding jackpot.
Jackpot values are bet-dependent and displayed alongside their associated cowboys. The values are calculated as follows:
- Mini: Bet ×5
- Minor: Bet ×20
- Major: Bet ×100
- Mega: Bet ×1,000
- Grand: Bet ×10,000
If you’re betting at the $20-a-spin maximum, the slot gives you a chance to win up to $204,640. However, thanks to the 10,232x max multiplier, even betting at the $0.20 minimum can result in some impressive wins.
Is the Wild West Jackpot slot worthy of a wanted poster?
With some of the simplest gameplay I’ve come across outside a fruit slot these days, the Wild West Jackpot slot definitely does have some nostalgia appeal. I also really like the jackpot feature, and while it’s annoying that you never really know when it’s about to hit, it also keeps you on your toes. I give the Wild West Jackpot slot an eight out of ten.
If you’re looking for a few other interesting Onlyplay slots, I recommend Lucky Punch and Zombolics.
