Duel for Big Wins in the Epic Bullets & Bounty Slot
Cowboys were essentially the original freelancers, roaming around with questionable hygiene, a deep distrust of authority, and a habit of solving workplace disputes with firearms. HR wasn’t really a thing on the frontier, which is probably why every disagreement escalated straight to a duel at high noon.
With duels being such a central part of cowboy life, because Hollywood would never exaggerate that, it’s hardly surprising that Hacksaw decided to turn them into a core feature in its Epic Bullets & Bounty slot.
Ride out to meet the bandits
Epic Bullets & Bounty is played across five reels with 19 paylines. It offers a maximum win potential of 20,000x your bet, allowing you to win up to $300,000 when betting at the $15 maximum stake. At the lower end, bets start from $0.10 per spin.
With high volatility, you can expect less frequent payouts, though with the potential for larger wins when they do occur. The slot has a return to player (RTP) of 96.24%.
The slot’s DuelReel feature is triggered when VS or Bounty VS symbols land and expand to fill an entire reel as part of a winning combination. Once expanded, the reel becomes Wild and contributes to the win while activating a duel sequence tied to the symbol.
When a VS symbol expands, it forms an Outlaw DuelReel. Two outlaws face off, with a single multiplier applied to all wins connected to that reel. If multiple Outlaw DuelReels are involved in the same win, their multipliers are combined before the payout is calculated. Values range from x2 up to x100.
Bounty VS symbols create Bounty DuelReels. Here, a Bounty Hunter repeatedly duels an outlaw on the same reel, collecting and stacking multipliers with each win. This process can continue for up to three rounds or until a loss occurs. The final accumulated multiplier is then applied to the reel.
A round of the True Grit free spins is triggered when you land 3 FS scatter symbols, awarding 10 free spins. You can either accept the feature or choose to gamble for an upgraded outcome.
During a round of True Grit free spins, the Progressive Bounty Hunter Multipliers will be introduced. With this feature, any new Bounty Hunter inherits the multiplier from the previous DuelReel.
A round of the Four Shots to Freedom free spins is triggered by landing 4 FS scatter symbols and also awards 10 free spins. The feature introduces a Bullet & Bounty Bar feature, which tracks progress as Bounty Hunter duels are won.
Landing 5FS scatter symbols will trigger a round of the Go Ahead, Make Her Day free spins. This round of free spins builds on the same mechanics of the Four Shots to Freedom free spins, but starts at a higher level.
From the first spin, you are placed at DuelSpin Level 1, guaranteeing at least 2 VS symbols. Progressive Bounty Hunter Multipliers are also active, allowing multipliers to carry over between DuelReels, increasing potential returns.
As with all Hacksaw slots, there is an extensive list of Bonus Bet and Bonus Buy options that give you the chance to increase your chances of triggering a round of a bonus feature or outright buying a round.
Is the Epic Bullets and Bounty slot ready for the Wild West?
Hacksaw loves a good cowboy slot, with titles like Duel at Dawn, Wanted Dead or a Wild, and the more quirky Le Cowboy. Then there is, of course, the original Bullets and Bounty slot and the 2 Wild 2 Die slot, which feels like a spiritual predecessor to Epic Bullets & Bounty, both in its artwork and its bonus features. That said, when it comes to Hacksaw’s best cowboy-themed titles, Epic Bullets & Bounty stands alone.
Let’s start with the graphics. I can honestly say this is one of the best-looking and best-animated slots I have ever come across. It’s everything from the character design of the main protagonist to the illustrations and animations that make up the versus feature, and even the beautiful free spins total win screen, which would make for pretty incredible wall art.
The bonus features also do not distract from the slot’s greatness, with that aforementioned versus feature being one of the coolest themed bonus features I have ever come across.
All in all, I give Hacksaw’s Epic Bullets & Bounty slot one of my confusing eleven-out-of-ten ratings, because ten out of ten just is not high enough praise.
