Is the New Princess & Dwarfs Rockways Slot Made of Magic?

Another fairytale slot, yay. Judging by the name and the picture – can you guess which fairytale we’re about to watch unfold?

It’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame! Well, that would be exciting actually. I haven’t seen that done on the reels yet. But I have seen my fair share of Snow White-inspired games, and despite the overtly obvious name, The Princess & Dwarfs Rockways slot is much the same.

Although, I’m curious about why Snowy looks like the evil one here. Perhaps there’s a plot twist, and Maleficent adopted her? She’s also running a tight shop, from the looks of things. The dwarfs are toiling away while she nibbles her apple.

What happened?

Snow White, is that you?

Fairytales are a popular theme in slots, so much so that pretty much every fairytale I know has been woven into a casino game in some way or another. Some providers nail it, while others fail at it.

As for The Princess and Dwarfs Rockways slot from Mascot Games, it floats somewhere in the middle of the nail/fail spectrum.

Well, in my opinion, at least. If I’d never seen Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs – I’d be amazed. If I’d never played Magic Apple slot from Booongo (or several other similar slots) – I’d be amazed.

But now I’m used to Disney’s caliber of things and Booongo’s caliber of things… So let’s see what we’ve got regarding Mascot’s caliber of things.

Mascot is a maverick, but this slot needs more magic

All critiques and jokes aside, I am a genuine fan of Mascot Games. They know how to turn it out on the reels. But maybe they took a bite out of a poisoned apple when it came to this one. Crazy things happen when you hallucinate.

It’s a Rockways slot. Although playing it, I’m still unsure what this feature is all about or what it does to benefit me. Yeah, it gives us up to 46,656 ways to win. But I won squat. That’s high volatility for you.

Also, the Blocker Symbols are pests. I dreamed of an open grid to land more wins on. But alas, I was blocked. The multipliers make up for that, though… Because for every win you achieve, the Rockfall Feature activates and awards multiplied wins up to 5x (and 15x in the Free Spins round).

Speaking of Free Spins. Let’s check out the bonus features.

Do these rocks, rock?

Well, they definitely can in the bonus features of this 95.19% RTP slot. Some could say these rocks can rock you all night long – if you’re lucky.

The Free Spins consist of 5 free games where Snow White, I mean, the Princess, acts as an Expanding Wild. The Rockfall Feature is also in play, where you can win up to 15x your bet. So that’s pretty cool.

This slot also has a Bonus Game, which by the initial looks of it, I thought was a Hold & Win/ Coin Respins feature… But I was wrong. It’s a grid of rocks where you need to land a Dynamite Symbol to see some action.

You’ll only have 3 turns to get the dynamite – and from my experience, these guys are rare as heck. But once you land them, they throw out Multipliers and Free Spins for you to make big money with.

I think you should visit the Princess & Dwarfs

I know I didn’t precisely paint the Mona Lisa when giving my opinion about The Princess & Dwarfs Rockways slot. But you could love it if you’re not as nit-picky as me.

The big pros are that it can pay up to €245,000, has two Bonus Features to play, and is beautifully designed and executed.

The cons, well, these are the obstacles in the way, and they are the very low bets you can place, the rare wins you can land, and the Blocker Symbols. Yeah, those are not my friends right now.

I have only love for Mascot Games. But this one didn’t rock me. It could rock you!
