My neighbor put his twelve-foot skeleton up yesterday. Not the week before Halloween like a normal person. The first day of October. I watched him drag it across the lawn at seven in the morning in his slippers, and I kind of respect the commitment, even if it now stares straight into my kitchen while I eat cereal.
So yes, spooky season has officially started, whether the rest of us are ready or not. And right on cue, the Spooky Step slot has crept onto BitStarz, bringing a whole gang of monsters so cute they couldn’t frighten a toddler. I’m in.
Ghosts, Ghouls and a Vampire in a Bow Tie
Jacks built this one, and they went full cartoon. Three reels, four rows and eight paylines, all sitting in a purple haunted forest with little ghosts grinning at you from the edges. Constantly.
The symbols read like a kids’ Halloween party guest list. A ghost, a vampire in a tiny red bow tie, a werewolf who looks permanently annoyed, a zombie, a bat, a bone, a zombie hand and some pumpkin candy. The ghost pays the most.
The Wild is a stacked jack-o’-lantern that covers for everything except the Coin and Collector Scatters. You get a 94.03% RTP, high volatility and a max win capped at $425,261.
One Step at a Time
Now the name makes sense. Coin Scatters land carrying values from 1x to 15x and just sit there waiting to be grabbed. Enter the Collector Scatter, a big gold coin that only lands on the middle reel.
When a Collector drops in, it sticks. It takes one step down the reel each spin and scoops up every coin value in view until it falls off the bottom. The purple Multiplier Collector collects everything twice! Up to four can share that middle reel.
Jackpot coins show up too: Mini Jackpot (25x), Minor Jackpot (50x), Major Jackpot (150x) and Grand Jackpot (2,000x). Land one with a Collector in view and it pays on the spot.
Then there’s Coins Hunt. Pay an extra 8x your base bet and every regular symbol vanishes, leaving just coins and Collectors.
Hold & Spin, Ghost Edition
Coins on reels 1 and 3 plus a Collector on reel 2 kicks off Hold & Spin. A mystery trigger can also fill in whatever’s missing, which is more help than I ever get with my taxes.
You start with three respins, and only coins, Jackpot coins and Collectors can land. The Collectors stay locked this time, every new coin gets collected by each one, and the counter resets to three.
Impatient? Same. The Bonus Buy gets you in for 55x your bet, or the Super Bonus Buy for 300x starts you with all four Collectors already in place.
Go Haunt Something
So that’s the lot. Smiley ghosts, a werewolf with anger issues, a vampire dressed for a wedding, coins everywhere and Collectors that take their sweet time strolling down the middle reel. Jackpots too, obviously.
It’s spooky season for the next few weeks anyway, so you might as well lean into it. Grab a bowl of candy you swear is for trick-or-treaters, dim the lights if you’re feeling dramatic, and give the Spooky Step slot a spin at BitStarz Casino. The ghosts are waiting, and they’re smiling about it!
