The Wild Machine Slot Review
If Rick, the mad scientist from the Netflix show Rick and Morty, was to be a character in a slot game, then the mad scientist in The Wild Machine is the reincarnation of him. Let yourself loose in the lab and who knows, you might just conjure your alter ego and become your mother's worst nightmare. I, for one already am, she had high hopes for me and never dreamt of me becoming a review writer, loafing on the couch all day, drinking beer and eating takeout.
Gameplay
The Wild Machine is a 5x5 (sometimes 1-3-5-7-5-3-1) reel, 40 payline video slot powered by Pragmatic Play software. The symbols include Card Suits Diamonds, Clubs, Hearts and Spades, Keys, Laboratory Equipment and Instruments, and the Mad Scientist Character. Special Symbols include the Wild and Scatter that triggers the Wonder Wheel Feature. There is also the Shape-Shifting Grid Mechanic. More detail will be provided in the Features section.
Controls are located at the bottom of the reels. Starting from the left, you will find a System Settings icon (3 horizontal lines), below that a Mute button, and next to that, an Information icon with the paytable. On the bottom right is your Spin button with Autoplay below it and Bet increase and decrease buttons.
Features and Unique Features
The features in The Wild Machine include the Wild, Scatter that triggers the Wonder Wheel Feature and Shape-Shifting Grid Mechanic.
Side note: If you are familiar with our reviews, you will instantly notice that the Features and Unique Feature sections are combined in this review as a unique feature in this game needs to be mentioned first to proceed to the rest of the features for them to make sense.
Although a changing gird layout may not be all that unique nowadays, in this slot, the Shape-Shifting Grid awards something a bit different. The grid can change shape at random with the new reel positions being completely Wild.
The Wild substitutes for all symbols except for the Scatter, in forming potential winning combinations.
Land 3 Scatters to trigger the Wonder Wheel Feature, where you will spin the Wonder Wheel awarding either instant cash prizes or free spins. If the Wonder Wheel lands on the free spins, you will need to select one of the following 2 unique Free Spins Features:
Gold Foundry awards 8 free spins on the 5x5 grid with 2-5 being wild.
Diamond Forge awards 5 free spins on the 1x3x5x7x5x3x1 reel setup with reels 1, 4, and 7 being wild throughout. Any wild that lands during these free spins will turn sticky for the remainder of the feature.
Performance
Most of the features in The Wild Machine make this slot rather unique in terms of gameplay, providing for some great winning potential. Pragmatic Play delivers brilliant graphics, effects, and animations. Max Win

Conclusion
The Wild Machine can deliver some truly wild wins thanks to the Wonder Wheel, with combinations of the entire segment of the Wheel being paid out, or only one segment within it or even free spins. The game is excellent and stands out amongst the hoards of slots out there. Enjoy in dabbling in the Nutty Professor side of life and you may walk away being a little crazier than usual.
