Royal Roulette 500X
In the 1850s, Monaco's ruling family was so broke their tiny principality was basically a Mediterranean yard sale waiting to happen. š
Their big plan to avoid financial extinction was to open a casino and let rich Europeans bankroll the entire country. The crazy thing is that Monacoās own citizens have been banned from gambling in their casinos. š
This is Royal Roulette 500X, and it comes from BGAMING. No royal blood 𩸠required.

Gameplay
Royal Roulette 500X is a European roulette game (single zero, for you newbies), with the standard 37-number wheel.
You get 2 betting layouts: Standard and Track. Standard is your classic grid with all the inside and outside bets you'd expect.
The Track layout shows the numbers as they sit on the actual wheel (with French bets like Voisins, Tiers, Orphelins, and Zero already configured for you).
The RTPRTP stands for āReturn to Player.ā The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a gameās volatility rate. is 97.3%. Volatility is high, which is unusual for roulette but makes total sense once you factor in the Lightning feature (Iāll explain later). The max multiplier is 500x, and the max win is $300,000. Bets range from $0.10 to $600.
Inside bet payouts mostly match standard European roulette, with one exception: Straight Up pays 32:1 instead of the standard 35:1. Everything else (Split at 17:1, Street at 11:1, Corner at 8:1, and Line at 5:1) is unchanged.
That Straight Up reduction is the price of admission for the Lightning feature. I know, I keep teasing you about this, but I'll get into the explanation soon, I promise.
Outside bets are completely untouched: Red/Black, Odd/Even, and Low/High all pay 1:1, while Dozen and Column pay 2:1. Track layout bets (Tier, Zero, Voisins, and Orphelins) pay between 11:1 and 32:1 depending on where the ball lands.
Features
LIGHTNING FEATURE:
Ta da! Here we are, finally. This bad boy is the entire reason Royal Roulette 500X exists.
After you place your bets and hit SPIN, the Lightning feature may activate before the ball settles, highlighting 1 to 3 random numbers and slapping a multiplier between 50x and 500x on each one.
Only Straight Up bets count. If the ball lands on a Lightning number and you've got a straight-up bet sitting on it, the multiplier is applied directly to your bet instead of the normal 32:1 payout.
That's where the 500x max multiplier lives and also why this game has "500X" plastered across its name.
No Lightning hit on your number? Your Straight Up bet still pays 32:1 (3 units less than standard roulette's 35:1). But even the lowest Lightning multiplier (50x) absolutely demolishes that standard 35:1, so when Lightning connects, it connects hard.
For the roulette nerds out there, this is BGaming's take on the Lightning Roulette concept that Evolution made famous with their live dealer version.
Evolution also uses 50x to 500x multipliers on straight-up bets, but it hacks the base Straight Up payout all the way down to 29:1 (a 6-unit cut).
STATISTICS AND HISTORY:
The game includes a Stats panel where you can nerd out over which numbers have been running hot or cold over a customizable range of rounds.
There's also a History section showing recent results. None of this changes the math (every spin is independent, dude), but if tracking patterns keeps you entertained between spins, have at it.
Performance
I didn't encounter any problems while testing Royal Roulette 500X. The Lightning activation adds a nice visual jolt between spins, and the wheel doesn't take an eternity to settle. No complaints from me.
Maximum Win
The max multiplier is 500x, and with the $600 bet cap placed straight-up on a single Lightning number, you can scoop the max win of $300,000. The smallest bet you can place is $0.10.
Conclusion
Every ounce of meaningful moolah comes from the Lightning feature hitting a number you've bet on straight-up. Without it, you're playing European roulette with a slightly worse Straight Up payout.
Bear in mind that high volatility means sessions can swing hard. Standard roulette is already volatile by nature, and the Lightning feature amplifies this mercurial nature.
Royal Roulette 500X is BGaming's answer to Evolution's live-dealer Lightning Roulette. If you want Lightning-style roulette at your own pace without waiting for a live dealer, this is your game. If multipliers don't interest you, stick to standard European roulette.
