BGaming Gets Creepy with The Face Off Slot

“Face Off” is the cinematic equivalent of giving two toddlers a bag of sugar and a box of grenades. You’ve got Nicolas Cage and John Travolta swapping faces, identities, and apparently acting styles. Cage goes full Travolta while Travolta goes full Cage, and the audience just hangs on for dear life. The plot makes roughly as much sense as explaining TikTok to your grandma, but that’s part of the fun. It was pure 90s gold!

Now, the Face Off slot from BGaming has absolutely nothing to do with the 1997 movie. So why bring it up? Because I can’t be the only one who hears that name and immediately thinks of Nicolas Cage telling a flight attendant he could eat a peach for hours. So creepy. So iconic. So… Cage.

Not what I would call feature-rich

The Face Off slot features six reels and offers play from $0.20 per spin. If you’re betting at the $20 maximum, you’ll have a shot at up to $300,000 thanks to the substantial 15,000x max multiplier. The slot features high volatility, which means the gameplay leans toward fewer big wins rather than regular small wins. The slot offers an RTP of 95.97%.

When playing the Face Off slot, wins are formed when eight or more of the same symbols appear anywhere on the reels. The slot also features a cascading reels mechanic, which removes symbols involved in winning combinations and allows new ones to drop in from the top. This continues until no new winning combinations are formed.

A round of free spins is triggered with four or more scatter symbols. Four scatters award 10 free spins, five award 20, and six award 30. During free spins, multiplier symbols can appear on the reels. When they do, they are applied to the winning combination once the cascading sequence ends. If multiple multipliers appear, they are added together before being applied to the win.

Face Off also gives you the option to purchase a round of free spins or double your chance of unlocking one at an extra per-spin cost.

Is the Face Off slot a Halloween classic?

There isn’t a lot to the Face Off slot in terms of bonus features. It doesn’t even have a wild symbol. That said, it does have just enough to keep things interesting. And beyond that, it’s a perfectly creepy option for some horror-themed gaming. The animation and illustration are excellent, and there’s a real joy to playing this one. The appeal isn’t easy to describe, but it’s definitely there. I give this one an eight out of ten.
