Dynasty VIP Blackjack 2 Review

We don't watch TV anymore; we keep it running while we scroll on our phones šŸ“±. Netflix reportedly started telling its writers to have characters announce out loud what they were doing so the people looking down could still follow the plot. šŸ™„

In Dynasty VIP Blackjack 2 from Evolution, a button marked 777 opens a working slot machine in a panel next to the live dealer, so the dead air between hands of cards šŸƒ can keep your attention. I'm not proud of how fast I went looking for that button.

Gameplay

A chat box in the corner puts you in conversation with the live dealer and whoever else is at the table. That conversation is the product here, and it's what you're buying into, rather than some fancy features.

The table sits in a room with marble panels and a city skyline glowing away behind the dealer. It's a set, but a pretty funky one.

The 777 button opens a slot in a panel on the right, which the "Browse All Games" button will swap for a different one whenever the first stops holding you. Side Play needs a desktop-sized screen, so a phone ain’t gonna cut it.

The +TABLE button lets you sit at several live tables at once and run them side by side in one window. I tried 3, lost track of 2, and learned a thing about myself I already knew.

The RTPRTP stands for ā€œReturn to Player.ā€ The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.
sits at 99.29%
, the volatility is variable, the max multiplier is 128x, and the max win is $73,000 per box.

That 128x isn't a number any single bet reaches. It's the 4 betting spots stacked on top of each other: 1.5x on the main hand, 1.5x on Bet Behind, 25x on Perfect Pairs, and 100x on 21+3.

You're looking at $50 to $5,000 on the main hand, with everything on the table together running $5 to $6,250. Australian dollars and Dogecoin are both out.

The table runs on 8 decks, and the dealer stands on 17. Blackjack pays 3:2, a winning hand pays 1:1, and a tied hand is a push.

When the dealer shows an Ace she'll offer you insurance, and it pays 2:1 on the rare day she has blackjack under there.

Doubling is open on any 2 initial cards, and 2 cards of equal value will split, once and only once per hand.

There's no doubling after a split, and a split Ace gets 1 card and nothing more. Split a pair of Aces here and the house deals you 2 stumps and walks away.

The moment your first 2 cards land you can call your play, long before the dealer works her way around to your seat, and you can keep changing your mind until she gets there.

HIT, STAND, DOUBLE and SPLIT wait under your box, grayed out until the rules let you touch them.

Partway through a hand the "Cash Out" button lights up with a number on it, somewhere between 0.4x and 1.77x, priced off your cards against whatever the dealer is showing.

It refers to the main bet and nothing else, and the button won't show up at all if you doubled, busted, or you're holding 21.

The house is offering to buy your hand off you before it plays out. Like every buyout I've been handed, the price is set by the side doing the buying.

Features

BET BEHIND:

Every box on the felt has a Bet Behind spot printed behind it. Drop a chip in there and your money rides on a hand that somebody else is playing.

The chip runs anywhere from $5 to $250, and it lives or dies exactly as the hand you backed does, up to 1.5x.

You take all of the exposure and none of the decisions, which is the same arrangement I had at my last 2 jobs.

PERFECT PAIRS:

Any pair at all in your first 2 cards and Perfect Pairs comes through, and it does that whether the hand you're playing wins, loses, or dies in a ditch.

You can't put the side bet down by itself. The house wants a main bet on the felt before it'll take your money on the novelty.

A Perfect Pair (same suit) pays 25x, a Coloured Pair (same color, different suits) pays 12x, and a Mixed Pair pays 6x.

Bets run from $5 to $500, and the return on the side bet is 95.9%.

21+3:

Take your first 2 cards, add the dealer's upcard, and if those 3 make a poker hand, 21+3 pays out. It settles up without ever asking how your blackjack hand finished, which is the only reason anybody covers it.

Suited Trips pays 100x, a Straight Flush pays 40x, Three of a Kind pays 30x, a Straight pays 10x, and a Flush pays 5x.

Bets run from $5 to $500, and the return on the side bet is 96.3%.

Performance

I ran a long stretch of hands through this game and the video feed didn’t break, unlike my winning streak. If it wasn’t for bad luck…

Maximum Win

Getting to the max win of $73,000 takes the top bet of $6,250 riding all 4 spots, a doubled main hand that comes in, and both side bets hitting their best result on the same deal.

Most of that money is the 21+3 side bet paying $50,000 on its own, and the closest I've come to $50,000 in a single night was owing it.

Add the 4 spots together and you land on the max multiplier of 128x, a headline number that no chip on this felt can pay. The smallest bet you can place is $5.

Conclusion

The game's money is in the hand in front of you, played right. The return quoted on this table only exists for somebody who knows when to hit and when to sit on his hands, and every hand you guess at gives a piece of it back.

makes this a long-session game. You can plant yourself at one table for an afternoon and still have chips in front of you when the shift changes.

Reaching the max win means covering all 4 spots at the top and having 21+3 land Suited Trips, which is a lottery ticket. Dressing the room in marble doesn't change the odds on it.

The main hand tops out at 1.5x, and that small payout is what buys the high return. Blackjack has never been the place you go to turn $50 into a boat.

The volatility here is whatever you decide to build. Stay on the main hand and you should expect a slow grind with a 1.5x top payout sitting on it.

Cover Perfect Pairs and 21+3 as well and you can expect the swings that come with a 128x sheet, paid for with 2 side bets that give back less than the hand they sit beside.

Between the 2 side bets, 21+3 is the one worth a chip. It pays 4 times what Perfect Pairs does at the top and gives back more of what you put in, so if you're going to make a mistake, make that one.

Bet Behind is the one I'd leave alone. It pays like the main hand at up to 1.5x while handing every decision to somebody else, and I've never once been happy with how a stranger played with my money. Now if they were to play with other things…

This table was built for high-limit players who know basic strategy and have the discipline to leave the side bets where they lie. Bet small and you're not getting through the door, because the main hand asks $50 before a card is dealt.
