VIP Blackjack 12 Review
Archaeologists have pulled more than 100 hollow bronze objects 🏺 out of the ground across the old Roman Empire. Each item has 12 flat sides, a hole in every side, and small protrusions at each corner. Nobody knows how these were originally intended to be used.
There are no mentions of such items in the writings of Roman authors, therefore people continue to speculate what these items were originally used for. 🧐
Guesses include candle holders, dice 🎲, a Roman surveyor’s measuring instrument or glove knitting tool.
In addition to the above guesses, Pragmatic Play Live also assigned the number 12 to VIP Blackjack 12.
Gameplay
With the back wall as one huge abstract mural in orange, yellow, hot pink, and blue, with black ink lines slashed right through it, this isn’t your everyday studio.
The black felt borrows a couple of those colors for its payout prints, and a clear acrylic card shoe sits on each side of the dealer.
Cards come out of 8 decks, and a single player can spread across as many as 7 seats. The dealer has to hit on 16 or under and stands on all 17s.
Beat the dealer and you're paid 1:1, a Blackjack pays 3:2, and a tie is a push that hands your bet back. You can double on any 2 starting cards for exactly 1 more card, and each hand splits only once, with split Aces getting 1 card apiece.
When the dealer shows an Ace, Insurance costs half your bet and pays 2:1 if the dealer's 2nd card turns out to be worth 10.
The Cash Out button settles your main bet before the hand plays out, paying an amount based on your hand and the dealer's upcard, though it switches off once you double down or bust.
A quick look at the stats reveals a 99.28% RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate., low volatility, a 126x max multiplier, and a $116,500 max win per seat. The table isn't available in Japanese yen.
Features
PERFECT PAIRS
Once your main bet is down, Perfect Pairs pays whenever your first 2 cards land as a pair, no matter how the main hand ends. You can put up to $1,000 on it.
A Mixed Pair (different suit and color) pays 6:1, a Colored Pair (same color, different suit) gets 12:1, and a Perfect Pair (2 identical cards) is worth 25:1.
SIDE BET 21+3
Your first 2 cards team up with the dealer's upcard to build a 3-card poker hand, and only the best combination gets paid. The cap here is $500.
Payouts climb from 5:1 for a Flush to 10:1 for a Straight, 30:1 for Three of a Kind, 40:1 for a Straight Flush, and 100:1 for Suited Trips.
BET BEHIND
Bet Behind lets you put money on somebody else's hand and share whatever it does, while the player in the seat makes all the calls. It tops out at $100.
Any number of players can line up behind one seat, but your own hand is off-limits, and you get refunded if the seated player skips the round.
Out of the box, your Bet Behind copies the seated player's Double Downs and Splits and pulls the extra from your balance, though you can change that in Settings.
Performance
The game's stream stayed rock steady from one hand to the next, with no freezes and no lag between deals.
Maximum Win
The $116,500 max win is available per seat, with a 126x max multiplier behind it and up to 7 seats per player. The top bet is $6,500 per seat with side bets included, and the smallest bet the table takes is $100.
Conclusion
The game's main hand tops out at a Blackjack payout, so anything bigger has to come from Perfect Pairs and 21+3, which pay fixed odds many times higher.
By my math, the max multiplier is the best 21+3 hand, the best Perfect Pairs hand, and a main-hand win on 3 matching bets, so it's a perfect-round, pure-lottery result.
The $500 cap on 21+3 holds all 3 matching bets to $500 apiece, so that route pays less than the max win.

Perfect Pairs and 21+3 earn a chip only if you want bigger payouts and can stomach swings the main hand never gives you. Bet Behind suits anyone happy to ride along while somebody else makes the decisions.
High-limit, low-risk players after steady Blackjack over a long session are the crowd here. Anyone hunting Free Spins or a bonus round should keep walking.
