12 Masks of Fire Drum Frenzy Slot Review

Masks have been a part of human culture forever. Some say they debuted in ancient Greek theater, designed to inspire awe and mystery. 🎭 Then there are some that are complete shit. How about Zorro for example? Or even worse, Superman’s glasses. Really?

Speaking of masks, nothing says “high-class fun” quite like rocking up to a swinger party in a Venetian mask, đŸ‘ș trying to radiate intrigue while silently panicking that you might accidentally flirt with Barbara from down the street or Tracy from last month’s PTA bake sale.

Masks are supposed to hide your identity, but honestly, most of them just fail miserably, and add drama instead of fun. đŸ€Šâ€â™‚ïž

Quickfire just dropped 12 Masks of Fire Drum Frenzy Slot, a game that proves you don’t need a mask to make things wild. 😉

Gameplay

This background is a trip! I’m not saying it looks bad, because it doesn’t, it’s just a bit wilder and “Woodstock” than what we normally see. One thing that I don’t like is that the Epic Strike Tower on the left nearly rivals the 5-reel, 3-row grid in size, making the reels feel a little secondary.

But let’s start off with what’s happening on the reels. There’s an interesting mix of symbols, including many of the old classics such as cherries, BARs, bells, dollar signs, and four varieties of 7s (singles, doubles, triples, and quadruples) as the highest-paying.

The Wild is a big diamond that substitutes for all symbols except Epic Strike and Bonus symbols. What makes it an interesting mix is when the drums get involved. The drums are tied to bonus triggers, but more on that shortly.

Other features that will be covered later are the big tower, and the Win Booster (top right corner).

The game is built on the following stats: 20 paylines, a 96.05% RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.
, a medium volatility rate, a 5,165x max multiplier, and a $258,250 max win.

Take note that this is a fiat-only game, excluding the yen and ruble.

Features

EPIC STRIKE

The Epic Strike feature is triggered by landing 3 or more Mask symbols. These can be the standard Epic Strike mask (blue) or Cash Masks (various colors with values 1x–250x).

EPIC STRIKE TOWER

The Epic Strike Tower comes into play when you land a minimum of 3 Epic Strike Cash symbols. Depending on how many of them you land, you can see the payout displayed directly on the tower:

  • 3 Symbols - 1x

  • 4 Symbols - 2x

  • 5 Symbols - 5x

  • 6 Symbols - 15x

  • 7 Symbols - 25x

  • 8 Symbols - 50x

  • 9 Symbols - 100x

  • 10 Symbols - 250x

  • 11 Symbols - 1,000x

  • 12 Symbols - 4,000x

You can only trigger the feature in the base game.

TOWER BONUS

In the base game, every Wild symbol you land is collected and can randomly trigger the Tower Bonus. A wheel will spin and will award you either a cash prize (5x to 4,000x), or trigger the Drum feature.

BONUS SPINS

There are 4 types of Bonus Drum symbols in play: Regular Drum, Jumbo Drum, Cash Drum, and Drum Frenzy. Jumbo Drums (Red) and Cash Drum (Green) are collected by their respective meter when they land, randomly triggering their respective bonus round.

If both are triggered at the same time, you’ll play the Drum Frenzy round.

There are ways to guarantee yourself the activation of Bonus Spins. When 2 Regular Drums land on reels 2 and 3, plus a Jumbo Drum, a Cash Drum, or a Drum Frenzy Drum on reel 4, you’re good to go.

You’ll get 3 spins, and the only symbols in play are Collect symbols (drums). In order to advance to the next level of the Price Tower, you must accumulate enough Collect symbols. Once you’ve reached a new level, your spin count resets back to 3, and an extra row is added to the grid.

Each drum type activates specific modifiers:

Jumbo Drum - Collect symbols may appear in a 3x3 Jumbo Form, significantly accelerating the collection.

Cash Drum - Collect symbols may appear with additional cash values that increase the prizes on the tower.

Drum Frenzy - Combines the two modifiers.

There are 8 different levels, each of them requiring a set number of Collect symbols.

  • Level 1 - Awards 4x

  • Level 2 - You need 5 Collect symbols, and pays 5x

  • Level 3 - You need 10 Collect symbols, and pays 15x

  • Level 4 - You need 15 Collect symbols, and pays 25x

  • Level 5 - You need 20 Collect symbols, and pays 50x

  • Level 6 - You need 25 Collect symbols, and pays 100x

  • Level 7 - You need 35 Collect symbols, and pays 250x

  • Level 8 - You need 55 Collect symbols, and pays 1,000x

If you manage to accumulate 70 Collect symbols on Level 8, you’ll win the 4,000x top prize. Each time you advance, the Collect symbol count resets, so you start fresh on the new level.

WIN BOOSTER

Activating the Win Booster (Ante BetAn Ante Bet is an option that costs a percentage of your bet but increases your chances of landing triggering symbols that initiate a feature.) doubles your chances of triggering a bonus for 1.5x.

Performance

Even with the tribal patterns and bold colors, everything worked smoothly, and there are no problems to report.

Max Win

Players who want to score the $258,250 max win, must hit the 5,165x max multiplier on a $50 bet. If you prefer smaller bets, you can go as low as $0.20.

Conclusion

This is a busy slot, but once you untangle its layers, it’s surprisingly cohesive. The Epic Strike Tower is the most reliable feature, with smaller wins (3–6 masks) appearing fairly often, roughly once every 50–80 spins. Climbing toward the 1,000x and 4,000x tiers, however, is more elusive.

The Drum Bonus Spins can be quite good, but triggers maybe once every 200–250 spins depending on luck. The modifiers from Jumbo Drums and Cash Drums can turbocharge the pace, especially when they merge into Drum Frenzy.

Reaching the higher tower levels is rare, but even mid-tier rewards (25x–100x) land often enough to keep you invested.

Volatility feels genuinely medium. You won’t be dead-spinning for ages, but the 5,165x max multiplier isn’t just handed out either.

Compared to the original 9 Masks of Fire slot or the earlier 12 Masks of Fire slot, this version is more complex, adding drum mechanics that will appeal to players who enjoy collection progress.

Clearly, it’s a slot for players who like layered features and the chase of climbing towers, but who don’t mind that the very top prizes will always be a long shot.

It balances frequent smaller hits with bursts of real potential, making it a good fit for those who want steady action without losing the thrill of a Jackpot-style chase.
