3 Pigs of Olympus Bonus Pot Slot Review
I had my nephew over for a sleepover the other day, and since I’m absolutely crushing this whole “parenting-adjacent adult” thing, I sat him in front of the TV and put on 🐷 Peppa Pig.
Because that’s what kids like, right? Big-headed cartoon animals with zero emotional growth?
He was glued. Mission accomplished. But strangely… so was I. Not out of joy though, more like disbelief. Peppa’s a brat. Like, genuinely insufferable 😤. Condescending, smug, always talking down to Daddy Pig like she’s on some power trip.
And it got me thinking – what is the world’s obsession with pigs 🤷🏻♀️? Especially diva pigs like Peppa and The Muppet’s Miss Piggy? I don’t get the hype.
But this hype I do get: 3 Pigs of Olympus Bonus Pot slot from Gamingcorps. Now these pigs know how to entertain! 🎉
Gameplay
This game is a 6-reel pork-powered epic with 4,096 ways to win, where the gods have descended from Mount Olympus… as pigs.
Yes, Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon have traded in their thunderbolts and pitchforks for curly tails and coin-stuffed bellies, and somehow, it’s great!
The reels have high-paying symbols like a golden vase, a harp, swords, a shield, and the Gates of Olympus in all their glory. Card deck royals are nobly doing their part as the low-paying symbols.
The Wild symbol is a simple golden W, stepping in for all symbols except Pig Coins, Instant Prize Coins and Collect Coins.
Instant Prize Coins can award anywhere from 0.5x up to 5,000x your bet. And if that’s not enough bacon for your bankroll, there’s a Bonus Pot that can climb all the way to 10,000x.
Land Pig Coins and fill the bellies of the Zeus, Hades, or Poseidon pigs to trigger Free Spins, with each pig-god delivering different enhancements – SYNC, MULTI, or EXTRA modifiers.
You can win a maximum of $200,000 and a 10,000x maximum multiplier. The volatility is medium to high and the RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. is 96.01%.
Now, take that Ritalin, because we’ve got a lot to get through in the Features department...
Features
COLLECT FEATURE
You can win instant prizes in this game – landing as Gold Coin symbols on reels 2 to 5.
These coins range in value, anywhere from 0.5x to 5,000x your bet. But to win them, you’ll need a Collect symbol (a Gold Coin displaying “Collect”) to land on the reels with them.
Only one Collect symbol can land at a time and only on reels 1 or 6. And when it does, all instant prizes on the screen get collected, added together, and awarded.
This is the case for the base game, the Collect Feature in Free Spins is a whole different money-winning beast – which I’ll cover below.
PIG BONUS POTS MODIFIERS
Above the reels are three Pig Bonus Pots, each tied to a mythological porky powerhouse awarding 8 Free Spins and activating its own modifiers (SYNC, MULTI, and EXTRA) during the feature:
- Red Pot – Hades – Modifier: SYNC
The Red Pot activates a synced reels feature where reels 2 to 5 may randomly sync to show identical symbols. Syncs can happen on 2, 3, or even 4 reels. This also opens the door to landing mega Instant Prize symbols (which I’ll cover shortly).
- Yellow Pot – Zeus – Modifier: MULTI
The Yellow Pot adds a 3x multiplier to all wins and Instant Prize values during Free Spins.
- Blue Pot – Poseidon – Modifier: EXTRA
The Blue Pot grants 8 extra free spins, bumping your total from 8 to 16 Free Spins.
FREE SPINS
Here’s how to trigger Free Spins…
In the base game, you’ll see Pig Coins drop – silver coins with the face of one of the three different colored pig characters.
When these land, they get collected into the corresponding Pig Bonus Pot above the reels, slowly fattening up the pot.
As these coins pile in, the pots get bigger – literally expanding until they’re almost bursting off the screen. But, as the provider puts it, the fattening of the pigs is only for “entertainment purposes” and not an indicator of an impending trigger.
At random, one of the pigs might finally throw you a bone and randomly trigger the Free Spins round, with its modifier activating.
For instance, when Poseidon finally activated mine, I was awarded 16 Free Spins (instead of 8) thanks to his EXTRA modifier.
Don’t expect a big dramatic build-up when you win the feature – the pot just quietly deflates, and next thing you know, a pop-up appears indicating you’ve been awarded the feature.
This is unlike the tease that goes down when they randomly start to wiggle and jiggle their coins randomly in the game, edging you to expect something to happen – and nothing does.
Now, about the Collect Feature in Free Spins... Here, you don’t need a Collect symbol to gather coins. All gold coin values from Instant Prize symbols are automatically collected into a Bonus Pot displayed at the top right of the reels.
This pot keeps track of your total collected prize amount, but you don’t win it just yet… Once your Free Spins are done, a Bonus Spin kicks in.
The Bonus Pot appears as a 4x4 mega coin plastered across reels 2 to 5, and you get one spin to land a Collect symbol on reel 1 or 6.
If you do? That entire Bonus Pot amount is yours, and if you don’t… Well, sorry.
BUY BONUS
In the base game, only one pig and its modifier can trigger Free Spins at a time. But the Buy Bonus option lets you skip the waiting and even activate two, or all three modifiers in a single feature.
Of course, it’ll cost you. But depending on how the pigs play out, it could be well worth the splurge.
Here’s what you can buy:
- Single Pig Bonus – Activates one random pig modifier for 50x
- Double Pig Bonus – Triggers two random modifiers for 100x
- Triple Pig Bonus – Unleashes all three modifiers in one round for 250x
- Random Pig Bonus – Awards a random number of modifiers for 80x
ANTE BET
Gaming Corps calls this “Hot Bet”, and for the cost of 1.1x your bet, you can increase your chances of triggering Free Spins. Exact odds aren’t shown.
Performance
I took this baby for a spin on desktop, mobile and tablet, and while the bizarre theme may be questionable, the performance is not.
Maximum Win
You can place bets from $0.10 to $20, and you can win a tidy $200,000, or 10,000x your bet – depending on how much risk you’re willing to throw at a pig in a toga, of course.
Conclusion
The 3 Pot mechanic is clearly a popular one. I’ve seen a bunch of providers adopt it recently, and it’s easy to see why.
It brings variety to the gameplay, keeps things unpredictable, and gives each Free Spins round its own unique enhancement depending on the modifier in play.
Personally, I still lean toward Scatter-triggered Free Spins. The whole “may randomly trigger” thing can be seriously unnerving given you have no indication if or when Free Spins will be awarded.
Landing Scatters is easier to discern, especially if you’re not looking to spend extra on the Buy Bonus in a game like this.
But that’s a small inconvenience considering you’re playing with Instant Prize symbols worth up to 5,000x, plus a Bonus Pot that can reach 10,000x your bet.
And if you enjoy the 3 Pot setup, you might also want to check out 3 African Drums slot by 3 Oaks Gaming – where, if my memory serves me correctly, you can trigger Free Spins with multiple modifiers organically, no bonus buys needed.
