40 Treasures Slot Review
Some of my favorite people in the whole world are those who walk around beaches with their metal detectors looking for treasure. Sometimes I wonder what that treasure must look like. In my part of the world, a lot of the goods they turn up must be hypodermic needles. Imagine thinking you’ve hit the motherload only to be confronted by a rusty, empty syringe. Yikes.
Gameplay
40 Treasures is a 5-reel, 40-payline video slot powered by software from Casino Technology. Symbols include royal crowns, goblets, watermelons, apples, lemons, oranges, cherries, and plums. The Wild is represented by a moustachioed king, and the Scatter by a treasure chest. Not one hypodermic needle in sight!
Controls are located below the reels and work as follows: Game Menu, Total Bet, Coin Value +/-, Cash, Win, Auto Play, and Spin.
Features
So what features can you expect from 40 Treasures?
Wild: Substitutes for all symbols except the Scatter. Wild appears only on reels 2, 3 and 4.
Unique Features
After each game with a win of less than 10x your total bet, you’ll have the chance to play the Double Up Gamble featureThis feature allows you to gamble your current winnings. It usually takes the form of guessing what color and/or suit a facedown card will reveal itself to be. A correct guess on the color pays 2x, while a correct guess of the color and suit pays 4x your bet.. You’ll move to another screen to find a card face down. Simply guess whether the card is black or red or the suit of the card. If you guess the correct color you’ll win 2x the gambled amount, and if you guess the correct suit you’ll win 4x the gambled amount.
Performance
This is an old school looking slot. It kind of resembles something you might find at a dusty brick and mortar casino somewhere in the Midwest of America. With that being said, there’s a certain level of charm and the sound effects offer some real nostalgic value. Gameplay is available on desktop, tablet and mobile.
Max Win
The max coin win is 8000.
Conclusion
With fun graphics, zero hypodermic needles, and big wins, 40 Treasures is an old school slot with a heart of gold. It’s nothing fancy, but should score you some nice payouts.
