5 Lions Slot Review

My review passport has more Chinese stamps than any other place in the world, perhaps Egypt could be a close second. I wonder if game providers realize there are 195 countries in the world and that still excludes Taiwan, Cook Islands, Niue and other territories not be deemed as self-governing! Fact. Even if you didn't want to leave the Asian continent, there are another 47 countries to base your games on. However, if you're going to splash out Africa offers 54 countries, but leave out Egypt which leaves you with 53, Europe 44 and Latin America and the Caribbean a sexy 33(this would be my choice). The balance is made up of Oceana’s 14 and a paltry 2 for Northern America. Hello, options are limitless.

5 Lions by Pragmatic Play is a cultural version of the Chinese theme which I found to be visually delightful. Based on the Fu Guardian Lions, the graphics are ornate and beautiful. The backdrop and decorative gold casing of the reels gives a luxurious feel to the slot. The wins were not easy, but when they did land, they were impressive, as impressive as how smoothly this game played on all electronic devices.

Gameplay

The high volatility ensures that when the wins did land on the 5 reels, the 243 ways to win paid handsomely.

The characters on the reels were magnificent in their splendor and included a classic dragon as the highest paying of the more important symbols on the reels. Also present was a Phoenix, Tortoise, Frog, and Fish. Round out the reels are the brightly colored and themed card playing numbers 9 through to Ace.
The Wild is the Fu Guardian Dog, and he can replace all symbols except the Scatter.
The Scatter symbol is the Yin Yang sign.

The control panel is not included in the theme of the slot, which would have been great as this slot is so visually decorative. However, the controls are practical, and besides a little complicated Autoplay selection panel everything else works smoothly and efficiently.

Features

The free spin round is triggered by landing three or more of the Yin Yang bonus symbols in the base game on adjacent reels starting from the left.
Before starting the round, you will have the option to select one of the following seven free spins options which are represented by various colored lions. These options offer a host of different variances in terms of free spins to be won and multipliers to be had.
The seventh Lion is an interesting option by choosing this Lion the outcome is random as he can select any of the other lion's prizes. This keeps things interesting due to the element of surprise.
More spins can be triggered by landing three or more Yin Yangs during the free spin round and on each retrigger you’ll get to choose from the above options again. Reels three, four and five also gain an extra row during this round so the paylines increase to 576.

Unique Features

If the main character, the golden lion lands on reels two, three or four, he will substitute for all others to coax bigger winning combos. However, he cannot replace the Yin Yang bonus symbol. The wild will also apply a random multiplier of up to 40x if it contributes to a win.

Maximum Win

5 Lions offer a very generous 2 500 000 coins as the maximum win.

Performance

Pragmatic offered a classic eastern theme in a dignified and cultural manner. The graphics were tasteful and elaborate, while the music was soothing. The wins were hard to come by but rewarding nonetheless. The variety of free spins and multipliers made for an exciting play.

Conclusion

5 Lions how a slot can be rewarding and straightforward at the same time, while also offering healthy rewards. I recommend this game to players of all levels as there is something for everyone.
