5 On The Farm Slot Review

My extended family had humble beginnings. 🌱 Unlike the city-slicking members of society my parents and I are today, my grandfather and his siblings grew up on a farm in the middle of the Karoo desert in South Africa. 🏞️

My grandfather and his siblings bought the farm back in the 1940s, and they all had different ideas on how to run it, so they split the farm into 5. Brothers 1 and 2 farmed with corn and did relatively well. 🌽 Brothers 3 and 4 (my grandpa) farmed with horses and cattle and did even better. 🐴🐄

Lucky brother number 5 discovered diamonds on his piece of land and made millions. 💎 Unlike brother number 5, I grew up in the city and didn't see any of that sweet diamond money, but at least I stand a chance to make big bucks with 5 On The Farm slot by Quickfire. 🎰💰

Gameplay

This game stays true to its name with a full-blown farming theme, including a field of flowers, white-picket fencing, and corn fields in the background. Atop the 5x4-reel grid sits a cow in a tractor pulling carts of corn on a horizontal line. This is a special feature that we'll dive into later.

The soundtrack makes me want to chew on a piece of straw and spit tobacco into a bucket, and the symbols look farm-fresh, too. Your high-paying symbols could feed an army of vegetarians: you get Tomatoes, Carrots, Turnips, Cauliflower, and Cabbage.

The Wild symbol (represented by a glorious sunrise) replaces all symbols except Bonus, Rush Express, Bell, and Cow symbols — more on those later.

Corn symbols carry cash values. If you land Corn symbols, along with the Cowbell symbol on reel 5, the total value of the visible Corn symbols is won.

If the Cow symbol lands on reel 5, the Cow driving the tractor will shuffle along above the reels with a random number of carts. Each cart will display the same figure (the combined value of landed Corn symbols; in other words 1x each). These carts are then paid out to the player.

There can be up to 10 carts (or a 10x multiplier).

Here are some farm-fresh stats for you: 5 On the Farm slot has an RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.
of 96.45%
, a max multiplier of 5,000x, and a scrumptious max win of $250,000. This high-volatility game offers 20 paylines, and you can only play with fiat currency. Unfortunately, the yen and ruble are not accepted.

Features:

RUSH EXPRESS:

When a Bell or Cow symbol lands on reel 5, and a Rush Express symbol - a Horse, Sheep, Pig, Cockerel, or Corn symbol - lands on reels 1, 2, 3, or 4 during the same spin, the Rush Express feature is triggered.

The Tractor mini-game at the top of the reels is now activated. The color of the triggering Rush Express symbol determines the color of the tractor and its carts.

Each tractor cart adds a random cash prize to the triggering Rush Express animal symbol, and the final cart can award a multiplier or a corresponding color Jackpot.

  • Green: This Mini Jackpot awards 20x your bet and corresponds to the Cockerel symbol.

  • Blue: This Minor Jackpot awards 50x your bet and corresponds to the Pig symbol.

  • Purple: This Major Jackpot awards 500x your bet and corresponds to the Sheep symbol.

  • Red: This is the Grand Jackpot that awards 5,000x your bet and corresponds to the Horse symbol.

PICK FEATURE:

When a Corn symbol lands without a Cowbell or Cow symbol present, it gets added to the Golden Cart at the top of the reels (I loved how the pile of corn grows as you play; a cool touch by the developers). This can randomly trigger the Bonus Pick feature.

This feature transforms the grid into a field of Corn symbols. You get to pick as many of them as possible until you match 3 identical animal symbols. This awards one of the Jackpots mentioned above.

The Pick feature won't activate during a Rush Express or Free Spins round.

FREE SPINS:

The Free Spins round is activated when you land 3 Barn Scatter symbols anywhere on the grid. The Rush Express feature and corresponding symbols appear more often in this round. You get 10 Free Spins, but unfortunately, no retriggers are available.

Performance:

Despite all the small graphic details, such as the moving tractor at the top of the reels, this game looks fantastic across all devices and even the smallest screens. It ran smoothly on my mobile phone and across all popular browsers.

Maximum Win

No one ever said farming is easy: this game comes with a high volatility rate, but with big risk comes big rewards. The max win is a solid $250,000, and you also get a max multiplier of 5,000x. The betting range is $0.20 to $50.

Conclusion

Farming runs in my family, but unfortunately, I wasn't born with a green thumb. Thankfully, I was born with a standard thumb that can spin a reel, and 5 On the Farm is as close as I'll ever get to making money with animals.

This slot game looks great on large and small devices and features some adorable graphic features, such as a moving tractor and a growing pile of corn.

The many features make this game truly come alive, and I love how Quickfire has managed to tie the farm theme together so convincingly but be warned: some of the features aren’t immediately intuitive, which could be offputting to newbies (that and the high volatility rate).

Farming, like playing slots, is risky business, and 5 On the Farm slot is about as risky as a slot game gets thanks to a high volatility rate, but those brave enough to enter this animal farm could walk away with big bucks.
