7 Clovers of Fortune Slot Review
I’m not sure how the four-leaf clover 🍀 became linked with luck, but some say the druids regarded the plant as a symbol of protection and good fortune.
Other folks reckon Saint Patrick used a three-leaf clover ☘️ to explain the Trinity and that, somehow, went on to become a lucky four-leaf clover.
Who knows? 🤷♂️ What I do know is that linking things in 7 Clovers of Fortune slot from Pragmatic Play can be good for your wallet.
And by “good,” I mean incredibly so! There’s a top prize worth $345,185 that you can win 😳, so let’s delve into the game and see what it takes to score that skrilla!
Gameplay
Oh sweet baby Spaghetti Monster; I thought we’d moved on from the Leprechaun-themed games. I haven’t had the misfortune of reviewing one in ages, yet here we are with this eye-hemorrhaging one.
The design is garish, which I’ll attribute to Wild Streak Gaming, which Pragmatic has teamed up with.
To the top left of the screen, you’ll see the various Jackpots: the Minor pays 20x, the Major pays 100x, and the Grand Jackpot pays 4,000x. More on these later.
The Wild symbol substitutes for all symbols other than the Connect and Collect and Scatter. You’ll see Wilds on reels 2, 3, and 4.
And while we’re on this topic, there are two special positions on reel 3 (at the top and bottom) that contain special symbols. Plus there’s a special 6th reel with only special symbols.
The game has 1,875 paylines, an RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. of 96.47%, and a high volatility rate. The max multiplier is 4,454x, and the potential payout is an astonishing $345,185. The only currency that’s verboten is the Japanese yen.
Features
CONNECT AND COLLECT FEATURE:
There are 2 Connect and Collect symbols (one is pink, while the other is red). They can carry multiplier values of 0.4x, 0.6x, 0.8x, 1x, 1.2x, 1.6x, 2x, 2.4x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 12x, or 50x.
You win these values whenever you hit adjacent Connect and Collect symbols. The symbols must touch horizontally or vertically and need to start at the leftmost reel.
Alternatively, if the symbols create a chain that reaches one of the special positions on reels 3 or 6, you can unlock other goodies:
Re-spins: OK, so this one is only pertinent to reel 3, but the upshot is that landing one of these triggers a re-spin (you get 5 spins). All Connect and Collect symbols that landed on the triggering spin, or any new ones, will stay put while the other positions spin
Money Value: A value of 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 12x, 20x, 30x, 40x, 50x, 60x, 80x, 100x, 120x, or 160x will be awarded
Add Wilds: Wilds will be added to random positions on reels 2 to 5
Free Spins: a Free Spins round and a 2x total bet multiplier are awarded. The number of spins could be 7, 10, 15, 20, or 25
JACKPOTS:
When one of the Jackpots is reached by a connecting chain, their values are paid out. But here’s the thing: the Grand Jackpot can also be won randomly at the end of any base game spin!
FREE SPINS:
Other than scoring Free Spins by connecting symbols, you can also land Scatters (pots of gold). Hitting 3, 4, or 5 Scatters awards 7, 10, or 15 spins, respectively.
The Connect and Collect feature is also available during the Free Spins round so you can win even more spins this way.
RANDOM AWARDS:
In addition to winning the Grand Jackpot at a random time, another random thing that can happen is that Wilds can be added to non-special positions.
In the base game, a random number of Connect and Collect symbols can be added to non-special positions.
BUY BONUS:
All it takes to get access to the Free Spins round instantly is 100x your bet.
Performance
Much like a disgruntled girlfriend, the game will time out on you if you don’t pay it attention. But there were no performance-related issues.
Maximum Win
You can score a life-changing $345,185 when you combine a $77.50 max bet (the smallest bet you can place is $0.25) with the 4,454x max multiplier.
Conclusion
You might have encountered the Connect and Collect mechanic that Wild Streak Gaming came up with while playing Fire Stampede slot.
That game offers $342,000, a 4,275x max multiplier, and the Re-spins, Money Values, Random Awards, and so on that you'll find in the current game. As far as I can tell, the games are virtually identical, which means 7 Clovers of Fortune slot is more a reskin than not.
If you’re into more of the same, then great. If you’ve never played this type of game, it certainly has some appeal as you sit tentatively, waiting to connect symbols in the hope of a big payoff.
And you never know when that Grand Jackpot will randomly trigger, so there’s that to look forward to.
