88 Riches Slot Review
The number 88 is considered to be incredibly lucky in Chinese culture, so it makes sense that GameArt has come out with a slot centered around it. I don’t believe in luck but, that’s honestly just down to personal experience because I am genuinely the unluckiest person in the world. Anything that can go wrong for me will go wrong. It’s a bit of a joke.
88 Riches is a 5-reel, 50-payline video slot powered by software from GameArt. This slot is centered around Chinese Culture, so expect lots of culturally specific symbols. All symbols are in some way related to wealth and luck, such as the koi carp and red envelopes. Other symbols include bonsai trees, lucky coins, and playing cards from 9 to Ace. The Wild is represented by the Golden Dragons (shaped to form the number 88), and the Ying Yang acts as the Scatter. The controls certainly don’t take a genius to work out, but I’ll run through them quickly. Settings, Paytable, Bet per line, Auto Play, Spin, Balance, Total Bet, Win.
So, what features can you expect from 88 Riches? Wild: Can replace all symbols except the Scatter. Gamble: To increase your winnings, you can click on the ‘gamble’ button, triggered after a winning round. All you have to do is guess whether the face-down card is black or red. Guess right, and you’ll double your winnings, but get it wrong, and you’ll be sent back to the base game empty-handed.
88 Riches really only has one unique feature, which is the Free Spins feature. Landing three scatters on reels 2,3 and 4 will activate a round of 10 Free Spins. During the feature, the wilds remain locked. So if a wild appears during free spins, it will stick in place for the rest of the feature. This can lead to some huge, multiline payouts.
Lately, GameArt has released games that have been blowing my mind. 88 Riches offers superb graphics, a realistically traditional soundtrack, and its interface on any device is just amazing.
If you’re like me, 88 Riches will have you questioning all of your beliefs around luck. The payouts are solid, the graphics are stunning, and it’s really just a good bit of fun. So, stick around and give it a spin. What have you got to lose?
