Ancient Egypt Slot Review
I'm not a fan of the title of this video slot – it just strikes me as a bit lazy. I mean c'mon people you've got a whole development and marketing team and the best you can come up with is Ancient Egypt?
A title that's so on the nose would usually dissuade me from playing a game, but I decided to give this one a try for two reasons:

I'm a big Pragmatic Play fan. The games often have some tricks up their sleeve which set them apart from the crowd.

OK, now that I've had my rant I better review Ancient Egypt:
This Pragmatic Play video slot can be played on pretty much any device you choose which means it can be enjoyed anytime, anywhere. While the mood was fairly evocative, much like the title itself the atmosphere was stereotypical of slots in the same genre. Nonetheless, I felt myself being slowly drawn in by this ancient culture. (Maybe I'm just a sucker for Egyptian based themes?)
Gameplay
Ancient Egypt is a highly volatile 5 reel and 10 payline slot. The 10-Ace icons are joined by some familiar symbols: Cleopatra, Anubis head, Egyptian Cross and an Eye of Ra. There's also a gold scarab beetle which serves as both the scatter and wild, able to substitute all other symbols.
The controls could have been a bit more stylised to fit the theme, but do the job well enough. Lined up along the bottom: Settings (including Quickspin), Info (including Paytable), Credit, Bet, Win Amount, Spin and Autoplay. On either side of the Spin button, you'll notice a plus and minus which is used to increase or decrease both Coins Per Line and Coin Value.

3 or more scatters anywhere triggers the Bonus Game. Here you get a choice of 3 chests, each with a different concealed reward:

Performance
There's nothing remarkable about the graphics – we've all seen many slots with similar. The animations are slightly better, with the fires in the temple background setting enhancing the theme nicely. Musically Ancient Egypt is far better than many of its compatriots with an authentic sounding beat, but, the sound effects are standard.
Ancient Egypt cruised through all performance tests as if it was blessed by the Gods themselves!
Conclusion
You probably have to be hooked on slots of this theme to really love Ancient Egypt because it's not breaking any new ground. However, even if you're not a fan of this genre, you'll still find Ancient Egypt to be an enjoyable diversion with superb free spins and cash prizes.
