Until recently, it wasn’t a massive rarity to see wild animals in circuses. And while I, as a flaming liberal, am pretty glad they banned the practice, I have to admit that seeing seals balancing balls on their noses (among other things) got me hyped up.
Now, if you wanna see that kinda thing you’re most likely going to have to take a trip to the Dark Web – and then you’re going to have the feds on your case, and it’s just not a good time at all.
I mean, take the creatures in Relax’s new Animal Carnival slot for example – they look pretty damn happy to be here, so surely a life of servitude to the screaming masses can’t be all that bad.
Gameplay
Animal Carnival slot is a 5-reel, 10-payline circus-themed game that's optimized for mobile and desktop play. I actually really enjoyed giving this one a spin on the go, particularly in portrait mode.
Landscape mode looks alright too, but it’s basically just a smaller version of what you’d see on your desktop – nothing special. The sound effects are incredibly annoying, so depending on your tolerance for squeaky carnival music, you may want to hit the mute button, and stat.

I threw hundreds of spins at Animal Carnival slot, and it took them like a champ. I mean, there are no performance issues here at all – so you’re free to play it on your mobile or desktop, and the browser of your choice.

At first glance the €246,300 max win looks decent, but dig a little deeper and you’ll find that it’s actually quite inaccessible. Why? Well, in order to score it you’ll need to set your bet to €150 and land the miserly 1,642x top multiplier – not ideal at all, my sweet summer child.
Conclusion
Animal Carnival slot is a little on the dull side. While it has a couple of cool features, the max win and contributing stats aren’t the best, and the gameplay is slightly janky.
The graphics remind me a little of the Five Nights at Freddy’s animations, which certainly set my teeth on edge, and the soundtrack is more than a little grating.
And the bet limits mean that this one is really only for high rollers, particularly if you plan on trying to hit the top payout.
Altogether, there are better slots out there, but if you’re really missing the animal rights abuses of old school circuses, this one could be right up your alley.
