Area Link All the Luck Slot Review
Irish-themed slots love to sell you on “luck”. But if luck really worked like that, I wouldn’t be here writing slot reviews, I’d be in Monaco on my third yacht, arguing with the crew about which champagne 🍾 pairs best with caviar.
Instead, we get rainbows, gold pots, and leprechaun-adjacent promises that feel about as reliable as a scratch-off ticket in a thunderstorm. ⛈️
Area Link All the Luck slot from Quickfire leans hard into that fantasy, throwing more pots, upgrades, and rainbow-colored 🌈 features at you than an Apple keynote.
Gameplay
A bright green rolling hill and a rainbow sets the tone for this game and all that’s missing is a jolly leprechaun. It’s a busy screen with a lot going on so let’s break it down.
Instead of being the centerpiece, the 5-reel, 3-row grid is moved closer to the bottom. The highest-paying symbols include mushrooms, beer glasses, harps, green shoes, green hats, and the most lucrative symbol is the Rainbow Wild.
On the left, below the game logo, are Jackpots: the Mini pays 10x, the Minor pays 20x, the Major pays 100x, and the Grand pays 5,000x.
There are a variety of gold pots spread out above the grid, each of them responsible for a different color. You can read more about this feature down below.
The rainbow colored treasure chest is the last piece of the puzzle. It’s part of the All the Luck feature, which I’m covering in the Features section.
With everything scaled similarly, it’s hard to know what to focus on. They're fighting for attention, and it makes the screen feel busier than it needs to be.
The game is built on the following stats: 20 paylines, a 96.50% RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate., a high volatility rate, 5,000x max multiplier, and a $250,000 max win.
Keep in mind that this slot is a fiat-only game, with the exception of the yen and ruble.
Features
AREA LINK
Any time one or more Coin symbols appear, there’s a chance for the Area Link feature to be triggered. Each coin is collected into the matching-colored pot above the reels. The Lucky Charm Upgrade awarded comes down to the combination of coins that triggers the feature.
It plays out like a Hold and WinThis feature plays out on a new screen. Typically, you get 3 re-spins (which could be re-triggered), and the triggering symbols usually stick to the position on which they land. Your objective is to land as many symbols as possible on the grid (you could land blank tiles, too)., and you’ll start things off with 3 spins. Landing a new symbol awards a cash prize or a Jackpot, but will also reset your count back to 3.
The feature ends once you’ve filled all positions, or when you’ve run out of spins. If you can fill the entire grid, you’re awarded the 5,000x Grand Jackpot.
ALL THE LUCK
There’s a chance for the All the Luck feature to trigger when a Gold Coin symbol lands. Instead of the pots, Gold Coin symbols are collected by the treasure chest. When All the Luck is triggered, it starts the Area Link with a random set of Lucky Charm Upgrades.
So what are the Lucky Charm Upgrades?
-
Orange - Awards a random 2x, 3x, or 5x, for every spin. Also, Gold Pot symbols are multiplied once when they first land.
-
Purple - Awards a second Area Link feature array, and each of them plays out independently of the other.
-
Green - Green Pots award an instant collection of all new cash values and/or Jackpots.
-
Blue - The value on Blue Pots is added to a random number of Gold Pots. A single Blue Pot can be added to the same Gold Pot more than once.
-
Red - All Red Pot values are boosted by a random amount on every spin.
Multiple Lucky Charm Upgrade Combinations
It’s possible to trigger the feature by more than one color pot. This is where it gets spicy: some color combos work together for even bigger effects.
-
Orange/Purple - Multiplier is applied to all new Gold Pots.
-
Orange/Green - The multiplier is applied to the Gold Pot created after the Green Pot feature.
-
Orange/Blue - Multiplier is applied before the Blue Lucky Charm feature.
-
Orange/Red - Prize boost is pre-multiplied by the determined multiplier.
-
Green/Purple - Green Pot only collects values within its own array.
-
Green/Blue - All Blue Lucky Charm features will occur before any of the Green Pot ones.
-
Blue/Purple - Blue Lucky Charm only adds to Gold Pots within its own array.
Performance
The jolly green background spilled through to the game as I had no problems in any area.
Max Win
To secure the $250,000 max win, you’ll need to hit the 5,000x max multiplier while betting $50. If you prefer smaller bets, you can go as low as $0.20.
Conclusion
This feels like a mashup of classic Hold & Win and upgrade-heavy Jackpot slots. Smaller base-game wins (≈25–30% hit rate) keep things ticking, even if they don’t build much excitement.
The hit frequency for triggering Area Link lands around once every 160–200 spins, which is fairly standard for high-volatility titles. I think the real fun comes when multiple Lucky Charm upgrades stack together, but that’s also where the volatility bites hardest.
The downside with a game like this is that with so many overlapping colors, pots, and upgrades, the screen often feels noisy, both visually and mechanically. You’ll get plenty of teases, but turning those into meaningful Jackpots requires patience and a decent bankroll.
Compared to simpler Irish hits like 9 Pots of Gold slot (Microgaming) or Lucky Lady Moon slot (BGaming), this one offers more variety but less clarity.
So what’s the verdict? Well, if you enjoy flashy mechanics and chaotic charm, it’s a fun pick, but if you prefer clean, streamlined gameplay, you might wish the leprechaun had kept his pot of gold hidden.
