I don’t know; the developer didn’t put much effort into this game🙄. Why should I put effort into introducing it🤷?

Here’s the lowdown on a basic Irish-themed slot.

Gameplay

Area Link Luck slot is Irish-themed, but the only hint to that in the title is the word luck. Area Link is the name of the only feature on offer.

AREA LINK BONUS GAME

This feature is played on different 5x3 reels with only Pot symbols that award a cash prize.

Before this Bonus Game starts, the game will show what upgrades you have been awarded.

  • Red Lucky Charm Upgrade: Every spin, a random multiplier of 2x, 3x, or 5x is awarded and applied to the Gold Post symbols that landed on that spin.
  • Purple Lucky Charms Upgrade: This upgrade adds an independent 5x3 grid for the feature.
  • Green Lucky Charm Upgrade: Green Pots appear during the feature and collect all the prizes from the Gold Pot symbols that landed on that spin, and then transform into a - - Gold Pot itself with the total as its award.

You can activate more than one Lucky Charm upgrade for the Area Link feature.

If Red and Purple are triggered together, 1 multiplier is selected and applied to both sets of reels.

If Green and Purple are triggered, the Green Pot only collects the Gold Pots on the set of reels it’s on.

If Red and Green are triggered together, the multiplier is applied to the Green Pot after it is transformed into a Gold Pot symbol.

The feature begins with 3 Re-spins, indicated by the three gold four-leaf clover sockets above the reels. Every new Pot symbol will reset the Re-spins back to 3.

The game continues until you run out of Re-spins and are awarded the total of all the Pot symbols present on the reels.

If you manage to fill one set of reels with symbols, you’ll be automatically awarded the Grand Jackpot, and the feature will end.

JACKPOTS

During the Amazing Link feature, Mini, Minor, and Major Pots are added to the reels. When they land they award their corresponding Jackpot prize.

Conclusion

Area Link Luck slot is not a pretty game and I have definitely seen uglier, but a lackluster aesthetic is off putting.

The time and effort some developers put into the design of their games has probably raised my standards unnecessarily high, but I just feel like if I’m going to spend time and money playing something, the least it can do is look good.

Looks aside, the game works really well on mobile and can be played with one hand. Although I don’t know what you would be doing with the other while playing this slot.

The only feature on offer is a hold-and-win Bonus Game, where you can activate 1 to 2 of 3 possible upgrades.

A win multiplier of 2x, 3x, or 5x is applied to any new Pot symbol values that land on that spin. A collection symbol that adds the Pot symbol values that landed on that spin. Or a whole other set of reels.

Triggering the Link Area feature is completely random when 1 or more Coin symbols land in a base game spin.

I know it has little to do with how the game works in the background, but the randomness bugs me.

If you’re looking for an Irish-themed slot with a Bonus game, there are other options out there. But if you’re not fussy and like your chances of winning big with Area Link Luck slot, then by all means, have at it.
