Assassin Star Slot Review
I was in Tokyo, Japan a few weeks ago, and there are so many crazy, cool things to discover. One of the things I wish I had picked up on is that there’s a subway line named after Hattori Hanzo. 🤔
Now, if that sounds familiar to you, it's because Quentin Tarantino made the name famous in Kill Bill. Hanzo was supposed to be a legendary sword 🗡️ maker, but in reality, he never made a single one. That's marketing for you.
The question before us is: will Assassin Star slot from Quickfire end up being a bunch of hype, or will it fatten our wallets the way I'm hoping it will? 💰🤞

Gameplay
Cherryblossoms - check. Skyscrapers - check. Sexy female assassin type with a Katana - also check. Okay, so the basics are there, and I guess the game has a bit of a nostalgic arcade vibe to it, so that makes it a bit different from the norm.
The grid has 25 paylines. The RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. sits at 96%, volatility is high, and the max multiplier is 2,500x. The max win is $250,000, with bets ranging from $0.20 to $100. Fiat currency only, but no Japanese yen (oh, the irony).
Let's talk low-paying symbols: 5-of-a-kind A returns 4x your bet, J pays only 2x, and K and Q pay 3x and 2.5x, respectively.
The high-paying tier climbs are made up of some porcelain (7.5x for 5), a katana (10.5x), a pink motorbike (15x), and a dude in sniper crosshairs at 25x. I guess the guy is the assassin babe's target.
The Wild is the assassin herself, and she replaces all symbols except the Ultra Link&Win. Wilds land stacked on every reel in the base game. Landing 5-of-a-kind Wilds on a payline pays 100x your bet.
The Ultra Link&Win symbols (Star Strike, Star Power, and Star Storm) are the game's triggers for the main bonus. They come in 3 forms each: a Symbol, a Token, and a Pot. I'll explain how they all work in the Features section.
There are 4 jackpots in this game: Mini (10x), Minor (25x), Major (rises from 100x up to 250x), and Mega (rises from 1,000x up to 2,500x).
The Mega Jackpot and the Major Jackpot are the Rising Rewards Jackpots, and they grow as you collect Ultra Link&Win tokens during base game spins.
Features
ULTRA LINK&WIN ENHANCERS:
Before we get into the game's main feature, we need to talk about the Enhancers that will crop up. There are 3 that do different things:
Star Strike (orange flame): Stamps oversized symbols (1x1, 2x2, or 3x3) over existing positions and upgrades them to a random cash prize between 0.5x and 25x your bet.
Star Power (red flame): When the feature starts, every Star Power symbol locks onto one randomly chosen prize: the Mini or Minor jackpot, or 2x to 100x your bet. That value is what every Star Power symbol pays for the rest of the round.
Star Storm (pink flower): Adds Star Storm symbols to random blank positions during the round. Each one can pay the Mini or Minor jackpot or a cash prize of 0.5x to 8x your bet.
Ok, now that that is out of the way, let's get to the good stuff.
ULTRA LINK&WIN FEATURE:
This is the main event, and it's a Hold and WinThis feature plays out on a new screen. Typically, you get 3 re-spins (which could be re-triggered), and the triggering symbols usually stick to the position on which they land. Your objective is to land as many symbols as possible on the grid (you could land blank tiles, too)..
Each Ultra Link&Win symbol that lands in the base game shows a prize value (the Mini or Minor jackpot, or 0.5x to 8x your bet for Star Strike and Star Storm symbols, or 2x to 100x for Star Power), but those prizes are paid out only when the feature triggers.
Each symbol also drops a token into its enhancer's pot. Collect 4 or 5 tokens on a spin to trigger the feature immediately with the matching enhancers locked in.
Collect 1 to 3 mixed tokens on a spin for a random chance at triggering with any combination of the enhancers.
The feature begins with 3 spins on a 5x3 active area, with 5 more rows locked below. Adding a Star Power, Star Storm, or Basic Prize symbol to the active area resets the spin counter back to 3.

Rows unlock as you stack more symbols: row 4 needs 4, row 5 needs 8, row 6 needs 12, row 7 needs 16, and row 8 needs 20.
Unlocking rows 6 and 7 also drops (random) 2x or 3x multipliers, respectively, onto the blank positions in rows 1 to 7. Multipliers are applied to the symbol values stacked underneath them when the feature ends.
Row 8 also holds a top spinner that can award a cash prize of 5x to 75x your bet, the Mega Jackpot or Major Jackpot, or trigger the Super Star Bonus.
HOT MODE:
This is the upgraded version of the Ultra Link&Win. Hot Mode activates when the feature triggers with all 3 enhancers running.
Hot Mode begins with 5 active rows instead of 3, leaving only 3 locked rows above. The unlock thresholds also drop hard: row 6 needs 4 symbols, row 7 needs 8, and row 8 needs 12.
The multipliers get a serious upgrade, too: rows 6 and 7 drop 5x and 8x multipliers, respectively, when they unlock.

SUPER STAR BONUS:
The top spinner inside the Ultra Link&Win can award the Super Star Bonus, which kicks off this side feature. There are 8 positions on a wheel, all blank to start, and you get 3 spins.
Each new Super Star Bonus symbol that lands can award the Major Jackpot, Minor Jackpot, or Mini Jackpot, or a cash prize of 2x to 75x your bet. Every new prize resets the spin count to 3.
Filling all 8 positions before the spins run out awards the Mega Jackpot.
WIN BOOSTER:
This is the Ante BetAn Ante Bet is an option that costs a percentage of your bet but increases your chances of landing triggering symbols that initiate a feature.. Toggle it on to double your chance of triggering the Ultra Link&Win feature, at the cost of an increased per-spin price displayed above the toggle.
BUY BONUS:
Two options skip the grind, and both come with all 3 feature enhancers active and 4 starting symbols on the reels (one of which is always a Star Power symbol).
The cheaper option costs 100x and buys the regular Ultra Link&Win, with the bottom 3 rows already unlocked, plus 2x and 3x multipliers available on rows 6 and 7.
The pricier option costs 300x and buys the Hot Mode version, with the bottom 5 rows unlocked and the upgraded 5x and 8x multipliers on rows 6 and 7.
The Mega and Major jackpots are pinned at their maximum values for the duration of either Buy Bonus, then reset to current values once the round is done.
Performance
I didn't run into any issues while testing this game.
Maximum Win
Combine the top bet of $100 with the 2,500x max multiplier to scoop the max win of $250,000. The smallest bet you can place is $0.20.
Conclusion
Assassin Star slot's money-making ability is in Hot Mode. That's where the multipliers are big enough to do real damage, and the row unlocks come easy enough to make a difference.
The Win Booster is a no-brainer. Anything that doubles your shot at the feature on a high volatility slot is worth the small per-spin bump.
The 100x Buy Bonus, on the other hand, I'd skip. You're paying for a feature where the multipliers cap at 3x and you'll still need a Super Star miracle to see anything close to max win.
If you're going to press a Buy button, make it the 300x Hot Mode Buy. The multiplier jump from 3x to 8x changes everything about what you can win in a single round, and that's the only Buy where the math is on your side.
But let's also be honest, a 2,500x max multiplier on a high volatility game is pretty insulting. If it were my money, I don't think I'd bother.
