Aztec Fruits Slot Review

Aztec cuisine was way ahead of its time. I mean these guys created some of the tastiest dishes that are taking up way too much of our social media feed. Just check this out:

  • āhuacamolli 🥑 - This translates to avocado sauce, which of course was the original version of guacamole. I actually kind of like the name avocado sauce better.

  • Taco Tuesdays 🌮 - I can’t say for sure that the Aztecs only ate them on Tuesdays but they definitely invented tacos.

  • Hot Chocolate with Chili 🌶️- This was considered a sacred drink at the time, and I understand why. Personally I like to sneak in some rum in mine to make things even more fun, or mainly just to help me make it through the day, if I’m honest.

That settles it, I’m having tacos for dinner tonight! In the meantime, how about I show you the ropes in Aztec Fruits slot by Playtech.

Gameplay

While the scenery could've been taken straight from a postcard, I believe the soundtrack helps create an even nicer vibe. The sound of beating drums feels very authentic for the location and it’s a good choice by Playtech.

As a classic fruit game, the 5x3 reels are covered in grapes, lemons, cherries, oranges, melons, and all the most recognizable symbols. What sticks out the most, however, are the four Jackpots sitting above the reels.

Since they are all progressive, you can watch them grow as you enjoy the game. I'll dive deeper into these Jackpots in the Features section below.

Before I get to that, let me run through some of the game data. You can expect 20 paylines and an RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.
of 96.40%
. While the volatility is high, the max multiplier is a disappointing 647.3x. However, the $194,175 max win is fine for a highly volatile game.

Should you be on the lookout for a game that accepts crypto, you'll have to look elsewhere because this is a fiat-only game.

Features

FREE SPINS

To get 10 Free Spins, you'll have to land 3 of the golden statue Scatter symbol, which will only appear on reels 1, 3 & 5. Your Free Spins may be capped at 10 a pop, but you can retrigger them indefinitely by landing another 3 gold statues.

While in Free Spin mode, the Wild symbol does come in handy. When one hits, it will take over the surrounding positions. You can end up with a total of up to 9 Wilds.

JOKER FLIP JACKPOT

So, let's take a look at the four progressive Jackpots. You don't have to bet big to win, but the higher the bet, the better your chances of triggering the Jackpot game. Any spin can be the one that triggers the game, even a losing one!

Since the Jackpots are progressive, nobody knows how much they will pay. However, the starting point for each of them looks like this:

  • Joker - $40,000
  • King - $2,000
  • Queen - $200
  • Jack - $20

The Jackpot game itself is simple and guarantees you’re going home with one of the Jackpots. It all comes down to a Pick and ClickPick & Click games present you with several options, in the form of items you need to select. Choosing an item will reveal what’s beneath – perhaps a cash prize or a Mystery symbol that can transform into something else. This format puts control in your hands. game, where it's your mission to pick three identical cards in order to win the respective Jackpot.

BUY BONUS

Playtech gives you two options if you are willing to pay for it.

  • 100x your bet = Free Spins with a guaranteed Wild symbol on each spin
  • 80x your bet = Free Spins without a guaranteed Wild

Performance

The Aztec civilization may have flourished between the years 1300 and 1521, but the spirit is still strong. Aztec Fruits slot worked like a charm without hiccups.

Maximum Win

You can bet as low as $0.20 in the beginning while trying to figure out the game. However, if it's the $194,175 max win you're after, you'll have to go all in and bet the max $300. Why? Because the max multiplier is a measly 647.3x.

Conclusion

So what do I think about Aztec Fruits slot? Well, the graphics are uplifting, and four progressive Jackpots are always positive. The Joker Jackpot amount took me a bit by surprise because it’s actually pretty damn impressive.

You already know that triggering the Jackpot game isn’t easy, and it shouldn’t be. Normally, Jackpots like these aren’t as great of a selling point as providers might think, However, because the Joker Jackpot is considerably bigger than others, maybe this game is the exception.

One of the biggest issues I have with this game is that because the max multiplier is so low, the only way to score a decent win is by betting large amounts, and I’m not sure it’s worth it.

Betting big will blow through your budget faster than Montezuma's Revenge will your intestine. Those of you having had the pleasure of visiting Mexico know what I'm talking about.

I have the utmost respect for the Aztec culture, but I’m not convinced Playtech did them any favors. If you want to spend some quality time with the Aztecs, there are many other options that you'll like better.

To name a few, I suggest Aztec Bonanza slot by Pragmatic Play with a hefty 19,400x max multiplier or any of the Gonzo's Quest slots by NetEnt.
