Baker's Treat Slot Review
The Greatest British Bake off a household favorite among many baking enthusiasts and I get its appeal but when dealing with the delicious and unctuous flavor of baking it hardly marries well with the cold and damp weather of the English countryside where it is filmed and with the uptight, hot-potato accented presented.
When you are looking at a big 3 tiered cake filled with fluffy frosting and oozing with caramel, adorned to the nines and the commentary goes something like this "Well yes, jolly good old sport. Perhaps a trite on the large side don't you think." This from a rather frosty looking Merry Berry with her pinched skinny face. Tightly fitted tweed jacket and perfectly coiffed hair.
Common producers, you need to put the ever voluptuous, ever snacking Nigella to be on the Bake Off. She is as oozing as those cakes. O even me. How would I paint that picture? Robust and round and know a thing or two about eating. Pretty apt description. This Play'n Go game is similar to the TV production. Filled with tasty treats but rather bland in appearance and repetitively dismal in the sound department. The flat appearance of the symbols was a little disappointing, however, when they popped out on a win it created some excitement. This game is freshly baked on your laptop, mobile and tablets.
Time to put the oven timer on because the high volatility along with a 5 reel and 15 pay lines you will be busy left right and center collecting winnings between bakes. Symbols are represented by low symbols which are a variety of colored macarons and the high paying symbols which are symbolized in the shape of different cakes including Lemon Cheesecake, Carrot Cake, Strawberry Sponge, Blueberry Pie and Cup Cakes. The triple Berry Layered cakes are the Wild and replace all symbols. The Controls are generic Play‘n Go controls offering all the standard buttons required to work around the kitchen to bake some decent delights.
The Bake-Off feature allows 1 spin for every flour power spin. This, in turn, can trigger up to 10 free spins.
This sticky delight of a game offers wins both ways wins, in other words, pays left to right and right to left. The other unique feature is the 5 unique Flour Power Spin feature. During this round, you can win by matching symbols, wild reels, symbol upgrades to wilds, expanding wilds and converting Macarons.
The maximum win in coins is 25 000.
I am a fan of British television, I really am but I just feel something can't possibly be displayed as well on a slot machine. Also being the food lover that I am and complete lover of all things baked I think If you are going to attempt a Baker's Treat at least make it look delicious. Some dimension would have elevated this game to another level. Lastly, I was happy I was able to mute the sound as the looping tinkly tune drove me crazy.
Whilst not completely horrendous it was to sickly sweet for me and lacking in unctuousness. I would rather find a more exciting visual. Having said that though if you are one for nice payouts perhaps put on your apron and get into the kitchen.
