This very odd themed video slot by Play ‘n Go may not be everyone’s cup of tea and is actually based on a real Hard Rock band from Italy. Personally, I am not a fan and the music/songs become a bit annoying. There is a lot going on with different symbols, band members, solo performances and group performances by the animated versions of the band members. Besides the theme, the game has plenty of opportunities to win and some unique features to keep players interested, plus top payouts. I would play this game with the mute mode on only because the Black Mamba band makes my ears bleed but then again I am an Adele fan, so different strokes for different folks. What? I’m entitled to my opinion.
Gameplay
Black Mamba is a 5x5 with Cascading reels, progressive multiplier per cascade and cluster win video slot powered by Play'n Go software. Symbols include the four band members Martina, Fred, Cecilia and Alexandra; drumsticks, headphones, mics and guitar picks. Martina is the highest paying wild symbol which is double the pay of the other wild symbol, being the Black Mamba band logo.
Controls are simple and can be found at the bottom of the reels. On the left hand side you will find the following icons: Info icon in the form of a lighting bolt with pay tables, Balance Window, Bet Level Increase and Decrease, Bet Window, Spin Button and Autoplay Button.
Features
Win combinations are created through 3 or more connected symbols appearing horizontally or vertically. The winning symbols are then removed and replaced with new symbols that may form new connected symbols.

The Win Multiplier multiplies 1x after each winning spin and continues to increase with each new successive win in the cascading symbols that are replaced. If a win is broken, the multiplier resets to default.
Unique Features
During the free spins mode, there is no limit to the win multiplier as it doesn’t reset after each win. If you clear the grid, you will get an added bonus. This can be achieved with the help of the Charge Meter that fills up by forming combinations with band member symbols.
Four different solo features can also be triggered plus a concert bonus where all the members of the band perform for you. The Solo features are performed by the individual band members Alexandra, Fred, Cecilia and Martina and remove or transform symbols, add wilds or change the game area.
The Concert feature is triggered when you charge the 6 sections of the bonus meter, and all wins with Fred, Cecilia and Alexandra will fill 1 section of the meter. You only need to fill 4 sections to trigger the Concert feature, but if you fill it up completely it will super charge and the win multiplier will be carried in the Concert.
During the Concert feature, 4 consecutive Solo performances will occur replacing symbols with each of their unique effects. Alexandra is first followed by Cecilia, Fred and Martina. The Solo feature ends once you no longer have a winning cascade.
The free spins feature is triggered when you completely clear the reels area. A single band member is active and plays out his/her solo feature on losing spins with the added benefit of Martina’s feature on every spin.
Every win increases the multiplier and you can also trigger extra free spins via the bonus meter: 4 to 5 sections gets you 2 extra spins; if you fill the meter you get 4 extra spins. The Concert feature can also be triggered during the free spin rounds and if you clear the grid you could win 50x.
Performance
Generally, the game takes a minute to understand completely but the chances of winning are quite extensive as are the features. The graphics are rather impressive and the music/performances are, well, up to the listener I guess. As I mentioned earlier I wouldn’t run out to go buy concert tickets in a hurry but the win stake of 5000x makes putting up with the Black Mamba band more bearable

Conclusion
I’ve never been a fan of band themed slots, as taste in music depends on the person, and I can tell you that Italian Hard Rock is definitely not one of mine. That aside, the game has great payouts and features that make winning so much sweeter. The payouts will be music to your ears.
