Black Pharaoh Slot Review

Oh boy, this theme sits at the apex of themes for which I have no words. How on earth was this an idea that a group of people decided on? I’m deeply confused and quite frankly, a little concerned. The biggest question plaguing my mind has to be, did the creators of this slot think that the Pharaoh was white? Because he certainly wasn’t.

Gameplay

Black Pharaoh is a 5-reel, 20-payline video slot powered by software from Casino Technology. Guys… what’s going on here. I don’t really even know where to start with how bizarre this theme is. I mean, “Black Pharaoh”? What on earth is going on at Casino Technology. Were they under the impression that Egyptian Pharaohs were white? Anyway. Symbols include the Queen, a black cat, the Eye of Horus, an Ankh, and royal values from 10 to A. The Wild is represented by the pharaoh himself, and the Scatter is represented by a pyramid.

Controls are located below the reels and work as follows: Game Menu, Total Bet, Coin Value +/-, Cash, Win, Auto Play, and Spin.

Features

So what features can you expect from Black Pharaoh?
Wild: Wild substitutes for all symbols except the Scatter. Wild lands on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Unique Features

Landing 3 or more Scatters triggers 10 free spins. Scatter lands only on reels 1, 3 and 5. After each game with a win of less than 10x your total bet, you’ll have the chance to play the Double Up Gamble featureThis feature allows you to gamble your current winnings. It usually takes the form of guessing what color and/or suit a facedown card will reveal itself to be. A correct guess on the color pays 2x, while a correct guess of the color and suit pays 4x your bet.. You’ll move to another screen to find a card face down. Simply guess whether the card is black or red or the suit of the card. If you guess the correct color you’ll win 2x the gambled amount, and if you guess the correct suit you’ll win 4x the gambled amount.

Performance

Black Pharaoh boasts really cool, ancient Egypt themed graphics and sound effects. Gameplay is available on desktop, tablet and mobile.

Max Win

The max coin win is 25,000.

Conclusion

Black Pharaoh might have the strangest theme I’ve encountered to date, but it’s still a pretty good slot. Gameplay is solid, payouts are generous, and there is a nice free spins and double up feature to keep you busy!
