I know a thing or two about a blue heart. Having had mine broken on numerous occasions, I think it’s safe to say that I’m somewhat of a blue heart connoisseur. Having a blue heart sometimes feels like a real, tangible thing even when I know it’s not. I’m not an octopus (although my ex-boyfriend liked to say that I had tentacle-arms), I’m a human being! Gameplay

Blue Heart is a 5 reel, 100 payline slot powered by software from EGT Interactive. Similar to most other EGT slots this game is packed full of symbols, including a stacked Wild represented by the slots’ namesake - a blue heart. Other symbols include a jewelry store, representing the Scatter, a purple jewel, a topaz jewel, a green jewel, a sinister (in my opinion) looking, bearded man, his female counterpart (sans beard), a green ‘J,’ a yellow ‘Q,' and an orange ‘K.’ EGT controls usually stay pretty much the same but they decided to change it up for Blue Heart. On the bottom left of the reels, you’ll find your balance, while on the bottom right you’ll see your wins. To set your coin value and your bet, you”ll have to click on the buttons below the reels. The minimum coin value is 1, while the maximum is 3, with bets ranging from 100 - 1500. In order to spin the reels, all you have to do is click on your desired bet which will act as a ‘start’ button. Alternatively, you can click on the ‘spin’ control on the far right of the reels or access Auto Play by going into settings.

Features

Blue Heart has some features you can really fall in love with. I really enjoy a Scatter feature which, should you land 3 Scatters on reels 2, 3 and 4, will activate 10 Free Spins. If you’re particularly lucky, you might even re-trigger the feature, which will then add to the current number of Free Spins. Another feature that might get your heart fluttering is the 5 Blue Heart’s feature. Landing 5 blue hearts, on any active payline, will automatically trigger a jackpot of 1000 coins. Now, that’s something to write home about.

Unique Features

EGT Interactive seem to be somewhat besotted with bonus rounds as of late. I’m not complaining, I love them too, and Blue Heart’s Jackpot Cards Mystery bonus round might just be my soulmate. This bonus is triggered at random when any Jackpot Cards stamped game is played. The four jackpots are represented by four card suits - spades, hearts, clubs, and diamonds. This round is simple but offers you a shot at a big reward. All you have to do is choose from a deck of 12 face-down cards until you manage to match 3 suits. A jackpot will then be awarded accordingly. If you enjoy a bit of intrigue and mystery in your love life, this bonus round should be your cup of tea. Blue Heart also offers a Gamble featureThis feature allows you to gamble your current winnings. It usually takes the form of guessing what color and/or suit a facedown card will reveal itself to be. A correct guess on the color pays 2x, while a correct guess of the color and suit pays 4x your bet. which is triggered when a winning combo is formed in the win display. You can choose whether or not you want to play this feature, but I highly recommend that you do. Clicking on the ‘gamble’ button will take you to a card flip where you’ll have to guess whether the next card will be red or black. Guess correctly, and you win, but get it wrong, and you’ll be taken back to the base game having lost all of your winnings. If you’re on a good streak, but feel like your luck might run out, you can always collect your winnings and return back to the base game. Sometimes, it’s just better to play it safe and not get your heart broken.

Performance

EGT Interactive know how to build a game, and Blue Heart is no exception. It performed well on all of my devices, has fantastic graphics and a cheesy soundtrack that really gets you grooving and in the mood.

Conclusion

EGT has really knocked it out of the park with Blue Heart. Every time I play one of their slots I fall a little bit more in love with this software developer. I just have a feeling we’re meant to be together and hopefully, one day, they’ll start to feel that too. In the meantime, I’m willing to have an open relationship with them, so go ahead and take Blue Heart for a spin. Everybody should have the chance to experience this kind of love once.
