Blue Wizard: Cash Collect & Link Slot Review
This next review is going to be long and covers complicated elements – well, more so if you’re new to online slots. 🎰

OK, enough blabbing – we have a lot to get through. This is Blue Wizard: Cash Collect & Link slot from Playtech. 🧙♂️
Gameplay
This latest iteration brings the total number of games in the Blue Wizard series to three. The previous versions were a Megaways and a PowerPlay Jackpot.
The setting for the newest game is the same – it’s a forest with the Wizard’s house to the left of the screen. The 5x3 grid resembles the PowerPlay Jackpot game, while the Megaways one had varying symbol sizes, so it was taller by default.
Above the reels are the Jackpots you can score in the Hold and WinThis feature plays out on a new screen. Typically, you get 3 re-spins (which could be re-triggered), and the triggering symbols usually stick to the position on which they land. Your objective is to land as many symbols as possible on the grid (you could land blank tiles, too). game: the Mini pays 20x, the Minor pays 50x, the Major pays 200x, and the Grand pays 500x your bet. Not the most generous Jackpots in the world, but hey.

This high-volatility game offers a $228,600 max win and a 2,286x max multiplier. The RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. SPECIAL SYMBOLS:
The Wizard is Wild and replaces symbols that aren’t Cash Collect or Coin Prize symbols. Wilds can appear with a 2x, 3x, 5x, or 8x multiplier.
Each visible Cash Collect symbol will grab the values of all Diamonds, Cash Prize symbols, and Free Spin Scatters that land on the same spin.
Landing a Cash Collect symbol at the same time as the Link or Mega Link symbol triggers the Collect & Link feature.
The Cash Prize symbol is a coin that awards its displayed value during the Cash Collect and Collect & Link games.
The Diamond symbol randomly awards a Jackpot prize (any of them) during Cash Collect and Collect & Link.
The Free Spins Scatter awards the same number of spins as you see displayed.
The Link (red) and Mega Link (pink) symbols award the Cash Collect and Collect & Link games.
CASH COLLECT:
This feature kicks off when you land a Cash Collect symbol on reel 1 and/or 5 in the base game. Alternatively, it triggers when you land a Cash Collect symbol on any reel during Free Spins, but you also need to have a minimum of 1 Coin Prize symbol on the reels on the same spin.
Each Coin Prize symbol awards the value of the Cash Prize or Diamond (Jackpot), a specific number of Free Spins, or the Collect & Link feature will pop off.
FREE SPINS:
Free Spins are triggered as mentioned above; by landing a Cash Collect symbol on reel 1 and/or 5 with a minimum of one FS Scatter on the reels. You get the sum of the values on the Free Spin Scatters.
Now, each Wild that lands on the third reel carries a multiplier value. The Cash Collect feature can trigger as it would in the base game, and Cash Collect symbols landing during Free Spins remain sticky for 3 spins.
With each Free Spins spin, Cash Collect symbols on reel 3 will become sticky for up to 10 spins (only once per newly landed Cash Collect). Alternatively, Cash Prize or Free Spin Scatters can also have their values upgraded.
Cash Prize symbols could even transform into Diamonds (meaning Jackpots). Oh, and you can get additional Free Spins by landing a Cash Collect symbol at the same time as a Free Spins Scatter, anywhere on the grid.
HOLD AND WIN:
Land a Link or Mega Link symbol anywhere on the reels, along with a Cash Collect on reel 1 and/or 5 in the base game, or on any reel in Free Spins, to trigger this feature.
This is a Hold and WinThis feature plays out on a new screen. Typically, you get 3 re-spins (which could be re-triggered), and the triggering symbols usually stick to the position on which they land. Your objective is to land as many symbols as possible on the grid (you could land blank tiles, too). game, so 3 re-spins are awarded initially, with newly landed symbols resetting the spin counter.
Link symbols will transform into Cash Prizes with values of 2x, 3x, or 5x. Mega Links transform into Cash Prizes with 5x, 10x, or 15x values.
Coin Prizes and Cash Collect symbols will lock in place for the duration of the feature.
If the feature is initiated with a Mega Link symbol, any Cash Prize or Free Spins Scatter that land on reels 2 to 4 will always be upgraded. Cash Prizes can also turn into Diamonds, but the Jackpots themselves don’t get upgraded.
If you manage to fill all of the grid positions, you’ll be awarded the Grand Jackpot.
NUDGE FEATURE:
Reels 1 or 5 can nudge the Cash Collect symbol during the base game, which could trigger a feature.
Performance
As with all Playtech games I review, this one hated Safari with a vengeance. Use Chrome for the best experience.
Maximum Win
Betting starts at $0.10 and is capped at $100. The max multiplier is 2,286x, and the max win is $228,600.
Conclusion
Is your brain as fried as mine, now that you’ve read all of the above? I think I need to take a day’s holiday to recover. Damn!
This is one convoluted mofo of a game, but you’ll get into it after a few hundred spins. And with no Buy Bonus available, you’ll have no choice but to wait it out.
There are several ways to make money in Blue Wizard: Cash Collect & Link slot so the wait might just be worth it.
Having said that, I prefer Lil Demon: Double Heat slot. The features don’t require you to have the brain of an intellect nor the memory of an elephant. You get Free Spins, a Rewind feature, and the Demon Zone.
I can’t go into details about what these entail, as that’ll be akin to another review, but trust me, they’re easier to understand than what’s going on in our current game.
Lil Demon’s Grand Jackpot awards 1,000x, and the max win is slightly better, at $248,810.
