Ever had a dream and then it came true? Every had a premonition only to see it come to pass?
Well, I haven't. I'm about as psychic as a block of Swiss cheese, but I don't mind that. I wouldn't want the burden of seeing peoples futures.
I would however like earning the fees that fortune tellers charge though! At our waterfront, we have a particularly spooky lady who does readings of palms. You can walk by in a group, and every person in your party will say she was staring specifically at them. Despite my skepticism of the mystic arts, I sat down to play Book of Fortune by Amatic. (It's a video slot that works on P.C's mobile devices and tablets.)
The immediate feeling I got when I started was one of mystic enchantment – not in a dark and broody way though. It sorta reminded me of the type of X-Files episode which is slightly unnerving but not sinister. Apparently its about a blonde princess being held by an evil wizard. The blonde princess is a stunning beauty while the wizard looks very pleasant actually. I've seen scarier villains on Telly Tubbies.
Anyway, I continued playing, not knowing what the future of this review held….
Gameplay
Book of Fortune has 5 reels and 10 PaylinesPaylines are preset lines that run across the reels, and when you land matching symbols on them, that will result in a payout. The more paylines, the more ways you can win, but also the higher your bet per spin., with the highest paying symbol being the blonde princess. Other symbols include friendly smiling wizard villain, Book of Fortune, castle and an owl. Finally, they are joined by the 10 and face card letters.
The Book of Fortune serves as both a scatter and wild, substituting for all symbols.
Amatic controls are some the most user-friendly available. On the far right is your start button while on your far left is the AutoStart. Between them are the Exit, Gamble and Bet buttons. Up top is an info button.
The Autostart is basic without advanced options.

Performance
The graphics and sound effects are almost old-style arcade, and as such this game didn't put any pressure on systems on which we tested it.. Nothing stands out about any design elements, but they all come together nicely.
Conclusion
Book of Fortunes is a solid slot offering hours of fun. It's gamble feature is excellent and the free spins were very rewarding me – so thumbs up there! It's not ground-breaking, but sometimes you just want some tasty comfort food, and that's what this entertaining slot is!
