Bow of Artemis Slot Review
It’s quite a coincidence that I played Pragmatic Play’s Bow of Artemis slot today of all days. I was browsing Reddit💻, where I follow a tattoo subreddit, when this lady posted a selfie of her full body sleeve Artemis. And I mean the entire front of her body😱!
Understandably, people in the comments were curious🤨 about how painful it would be to stab so much ink into some surprisingly sensitive areas of the body.
She claimed that she had severe back problems, was constantly in excruciating pain, and that getting tattoos didn't compare to her everyday experience.
And that got me thinking. I got a tattoo on my knee🦵 not so long ago, and I nearly crawled off the tattoo table to cry in the corner. That chick is way tougher than me🫤! Now I don’t want to show my face at my favorite tattoo shop ever again.
Gameplay
The Bow of Artemis slot machine operates on an 8-reel, 8-row grid.
The grid is larger than normal to accommodate the cluster pays feature of this game, which requires five or more matching symbols to land horizontally and vertically adjacent to each other to create a winning payout.
The top-paying symbols are a bear, a wolf, and a deer. The reels remove the winning symbols, allowing them to fall to the bottom, and new symbols cascade in from above to fill the empty positions.
The Wild is a W symbol that can substitute for all the paying symbols. It appears only in the Wild Pack and Lucky Wilds features. The same Wild symbol can connect to form multiple winning combinations with different symbols.
The Hunt feature triggers the activation of the Hunt progressive bar. However, we'll get into that below. Firstly, you should be aware that this game boasts a 96.05% RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. and carries a high volatility rating.
The only currency you cannot play with on this slot is the Japanese yen. You can bet between $0.20 and $34. There is a huge maximum multiplier of 10,000x, which can lead to the top prize of $340,000.
Features
SPIN MODIFIERS
Every spin in the base game marks normal positions with a colored frame. Depending on the color, a special spin feature triggers whenever a win occurs on top of the colored frame.
Brown mark awards the Chase Begins. Any wins and subsequent cascades clear the entire grid of all symbols, allowing new symbols to appear.
Teal marks wins Wild Pack. After all the tumbles resulting from the spin, all instances of one random symbol present on the reel will transform into Wilds.
Purple marks award Big Game Hunter. Following all cascades, the system randomly adds 2x2 blocks of the same symbol in random positions on the screen.
Red awards Colossal Game, which adds random blocks of 3x3, 4x4, or 5x5 of the same symbol in random positions.
Blue marks award Lucky Wilds, which adds 5 to 15 Wilds in random positions. Green awards 10 to 30 instances of a random pay symbol in random places on the reels.
If multiple features are triggered on the same spin, they play in the following order: The Chase Begins, Wild Pack, Big Game Hunter, Colossal Game, Lucky Wilds, and lastly, Power.
THE HUNT
Every spin collects winning symbols for The Hunt meter. The Hunt triggers when you collect 105 symbols. The Hunt is divided into four levels.
At Level 1, collecting 130, 155, or 185 symbols will start with a 2x, 3x, or 5x win multiplier, respectively. You must gather sufficient winning symbols in each level to progress to the subsequent one.
At Level 2, you can advance and receive an additional 1x multiplier to the total multiplier if you collect 140 symbols during Level 1. If you collect 165, 190, or 220 winning symbols during Level 2, the win multiplier increases by 2x, 3x, or 5x, respectively.
To enter Level 3, you need 140 symbols and gain a 1x multiplier to the win multiplier. Collecting 170, 190, or 220 winning symbols adds 1x, 2x, and 5x to the win multiplier.
To progress to Level 4, you must accumulate 152 winning symbols, after which the win multiplier receives an additional 1x multiplier. Once you gather 190, 200, and 220 winning symbols, the win multiplier increases by 1x, 2x, and 5x.
Reach Level 5 by gathering an additional 152 winning symbols, which will increase the win multiplier by 1x. Collecting another 190, 200, and 220 winning symbols will add another 1x, 2x, and 5x to the win multiplier.
When you collect no more winning symbols, the meter resets. The feature concludes when you either collect insufficient winning symbols to proceed to the next level or activate all spin features from Level 5.
BUY BONUS
You can trigger The Hunt feature for 100x your bet.
Performance
I didn’t uncover any glitches or bugs during my playthrough.
Maximum Win
The highest possible win here is $340,000, or 10,000x your bet, and the betting range starts at $0.20 and ends at $34.
Conclusion
For me, the spin modifiers are the real draw of this game. They're especially helpful during the Hunt feature.
The Hunt feature is an interesting mechanism. It’s not Free Spins, so you have to keep landing winning combinations to keep the feature going and get an increasingly big win multiplier. Aside from those features, this is a pretty standard cluster-paying game.
The Buy Bonus actually makes the number of winning symbols you need to collect slightly less. However, whether you make a profit this way is a gamble.
The game looks amazing, and the bigger game matrix is a little bit of a challenge to make out on smaller screens, but if you don’t mind holding it up close to your face, it still plays very well on mobile.

PaylinesPaylines are preset lines that run across the reels, and when you land matching symbols on them, that will result in a payout. The more paylines, the more ways you can win, but also the higher your bet per spin.: Cluster pays
Volatility RateSlot games can have low, medium, high, or extremely high volatility rates (or a combination thereof).
The less volatile the game, the more often it should pay out, but the lower the amount, the less the payout, as this is in keeping with the risk you’re taking. Volatility rate should be considered in conjunction with a game’s RTP.: Very High
