Buffalo Power 2 Slot Review

I’m of the opinion if you don’t look at history📖 you’re going to have a very strange outlook on today🥴. I think of it as if you move into a house and the walls are sort of yellow. Chances are the walls weren’t painted that color, the previous owners were just heavy smokers🚬.

Which is gross🤢. You shouldn’t smoke indoors.

And if you play a game released in 2024 you might think it was made that year. But if you do a little online digging, you’ll find the game was actually released, almost unchanged back in 2020 like Playson’s Buffalo Power 2 slot.

Gameplay

Buffalo Power 2 slot is almost exactly the same in terms of looks and mechanics as the original game.

You play on a 5x3 game grid that has 20 paylines. The high-paying symbols include your typical wildlife you see in buffalo games; a bear, a mountain lion, an eagle, and a wolf.

The Wild symbol is a buffalo and takes up two positions on a reel. It can substitute for all normal pay symbols with the exception of the Scatter, Power, and Bonus symbols. Scatter symbols only appear on reels 2, 3, and 4.

Bonus symbols carry 1x to 6x, or 10x your bet value and are only awarded at the end of the Bonus Game. Power symbols are collected and can award 1 of the Jackpot prizes based on the number you collect.

This game features a 95.44% RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.
and is rated as high-volatility. Bets open at $0.20 and peak at $20. If you bet the maximum and hit the games 10,468x top multiplier, you could win $209,360!

Features

FREE SPINS

During the base game, landing 3 or more Scatter symbols will grant you 8 Free Spins. You’re taken to a new set of reels with a 1x multiplier at the top of the top of the leftmost reel.

During Free Spins, each Wild symbol that lands increases a Win Multiplier for the current spin. A fully visible Wild adds 2x and partially visible adds 1x to your total Multiplier.

BUFFALO EXTRA BONUS FEATURE

Whenever a Bonus symbol lands in the base game or Free Spins, there is a chance this feature will trigger, which adds enough Bonus, Power, or Mystery symbols to the reels to trigger the Bonus Game.

BONUS GAME

If any combination of 6 Bonus and Power symbols appears on the reels, you enter the Hold and WinThis feature plays out on a new screen. Typically, you get 3 re-spins (which could be re-triggered), and the triggering symbols usually stick to the position on which they land. Your objective is to land as many symbols as possible on the grid (you could land blank tiles, too). Bonus.

Only Bonus, Mystery, and Power symbols are on the reels during this feature. Mystery symbols transform randomly into a Bonus or Power symbol one by one at the end of the feature.

As per usual, the triggering symbols carry over into the Bonus, and they and all other symbols are sticky when they land. You start with 3 Re-spins, which reset whenever a new symbol lands.

If you fill every position on the grid before you run out of Re-spins, your total prize is multiplied by 2x.

JACKPOTS

To win one of the Jackpots, you need to collect the following number of Power symbols during the Bonus Game.

  • The Mini Jackpot of 28x your bet is awarded after 2 Power symbols are collected.
  • The Minor Jackpot of 70x your bet is paid out when 3 Power symbols are collected.
  • Collecting 4 Power symbols will award the Major Jackpot of 210x your bet.
  • Collecting 5 Power symbols awards the Mega Jackpot of 1,400x your bet.
  • And collecting 6 Power symbols awards the Grand Jackpot of 7,000x your bet.

Performance

I put this game through its paces on my gaming laptop and Android phone, and it didn’t falter even a little.

Maximum Win

You can only win up to $209,360 if you place the highest bid of $20 and achieve the maximum multiplier of 10,468x. But you can also bet as low as $0.20 per spin.

Conclusion

Besides being mostly just a re-release of a 4-year-old game, I still think Buffalo Power 2 slot is a solid game.

It offers everything you want in your basic 5-reel slot: Free Spins, which include a Win Multiplier for every spin, a classic Hold and WinThis feature plays out on a new screen. Typically, you get 3 re-spins (which could be re-triggered), and the triggering symbols usually stick to the position on which they land. Your objective is to land as many symbols as possible on the grid (you could land blank tiles, too). Bonus, and a couple of Jackpots.

This version of the game also added the Buffalo Extra Bonus, which can randomly trigger the Bonus, and it’s a generous addition by the developers. There is also a 2x multiplier if you fill every position during the Bonus.

The Jackpot prizes aren’t especially mind-blowing, but all you need to do to win them is collect symbols that appear in the bonus, and you only need 2 to win the lowest Jackpot and 6 to collect the Grand Jackpot, which is kind of unique.

I foresee this title being one of the popular games players will keep coming back to in hopes of scoring bigger prizes. Give this game a go!

Volatility RateSlot games can have low, medium, high, or extremely high volatility rates (or a combination thereof).

The less volatile the game, the more often it should pay out, but the lower the amount, the less the payout, as this is in keeping with the risk you’re taking. Volatility rate should be considered in conjunction with a game’s RTP.
