Build the Bank Slot Review

Heroes might be ordinary people doing extraordinary things, but some folk really earn that title. Take Dr. Hitender Suri who, in 2013, claimed the coveted Guinness Book of Records award for the most piles operated on in a single day.

Yes, you read that right: piles, hemorrhoids – whichever you prefer. This selfless sawbones stared unflinchingly into the brown eye of 391 patients without so much as taking a break.

The good doctor has even created a YouTube channel “where a person can get each and every detail relating to piles (hemorrhoids), prevention from piles…” Jesus. I haven’t had the guts to look, and I don’t think I ever will. But you should feel free to indulge if that’s your thing.

As for why I’m going on about bum grapes, all will be revealed as we explore Build the Bank slot from Quickfire.

Gameplay

The theme of Quickfire’s latest centers around a bank-building robot and the construction it’s doing. Which is certainly novel. There’s also this feature called the Mega Pile – hence my intro – which is all about stacks of golden blocks, but more on that later.

The design language neatly incorporates bank-related items, such as the building icon on the SPIN button, and the font also looks like my banking apps.

The game looks super cool on a mobile phone, too, with portrait mode being my preferred orientation.

We’ve got an interesting mix of stats here. The RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.
is solid, at 96.09%, there are 3,125 paylines, and the game comes bundled with a medium volatility rate. You might expect a max win in the hundred grand region, but it’s actually €200,000!

Given that this game is all about banks, rather than decentralization, it should come as no surprise that crypto isn’t a currency you can use here. Nor, as it turns out, is Japanese yen.

Another thing that you won’t see is a Wild symbol. You will find Scatters – not that I know how to describe em; maybe it’s an elevator with an up and down arrow? – which are apparent during the base game.

Scatters could contain Credit Awards, Multipliers, Special Awards, or a Re-spin Upgrade.

Re-spin Upgrade symbols are these blue blocks with a bank building icon on them. You’ll only see these during the base game. Credit Award symbols are shiny bronze blocks. They come into play during the Mega Pile feature and offer values ranging from 0.04x to 20x your bet.

Multipliers have an “X” on them and carry a value of 2x to 5x, or 10x. Special Award symbols are like nuts and bolts and place Credit Awards in adjacent positions on the grid. Both symbols are only activated during Mega Piles.

Winning combos can happen anywhere on the reels. You’ll be aiming for 3 matching symbols either on a payline or adjacent to one another.

Features

MEGA PILE FEATURE:

Unlike the boring base game, the Mega Pile round has some things going for it (god, that sounded gut-wrenching). You’ll trigger it when you land 3 Scatters and you’ll then be whisked away to a 5x7-reel grid.

If your Scatters don’t contain a Re-spin Upgrade symbol, you’ll be awarded 3 spins. If your Scatters contain one of the aforementioned symbols, the Mega Pile will continue until you clinch 3 consecutive spins without a Re-spin Upgrade.

Each round will populate the reels with Credit Awards, Multipliers, Special Awards, or Passive symbols (in other words, your low-value ones).

BANK PRIZES:

See the 3 progressive Jackpots to the left of the grid? These are only available to win during the Mega Pile feature.

The Mini Bank Prize is awarded when the bottom 3 rows of the grid are filled with Credit Award or Multiplier symbols. The Midi Bank Prize requires 4 rows to be filled, while the Max Bank Prize needs 5 rows.

You can only clinch a single Bank Prize at a time during the Mega Pile feature, and once that happens, the prize is reset to its base level.

Performance

Build the Bank slot is built using HTML5 technology, so it transitions between devices and browsers with no problems. And indeed, I had hassle-free gameplay during testing.

Maximum Win

The max multiplier on offer is a bit on the lowish side, at 4,000x, so you’ll need to sustain your bets at €50 if you wanna nail that €200,000 top prize.

Or, you could bet from as little as €0.25 – the choice is yours.

Conclusion

Look, I’ll give credit where it’s due. I like the novel theme, I appreciate the unique approach to the features, and of course, I dig the rather impressive stats. Oh, and I like the animations, which give the game some extra life.

Having said all this, there was still something that kept me from resonating with it past a certain point, and I’m not sure what that is. Maybe it’s my deep-seated antipathy toward banks (all hail crypto!), I’m not sure. You should judge for yourself, is my advice.
