Cash Truck Slot Review

Cash-in-transit heists are a genuine thing here in South Africa so I’m not even gonna go down that morbid road.

Instead, I’m going to tie this intro in to Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie’s movie, Wrath of Man. It’s about a dude who works at a cash truck company, and it turns out he’s got some mad skills.

It turns out some dude on IMDB with too much time on his hands crunched the numbers and determined that it would be impossible to steal $150 million using 2 Can Am ATVs and a Toyota Prius.

Luckily, Quickspin didn’t opt for such rubbish transport in their latest game, Cash Truck slot.

Gameplay

This one opens with some sweet graphics. We’re chasing a truck that’s chugging along some blacktop through what looks like Utah – isn’t it always?

There’s dynamite strapped to the truck and as it explodes, it knocks the doors off revealing a shit ton of cash. The level of detail is really cool, even down to the license plate (“Oversize Load”).

This game has an expanding play area which you’ll see by the slightly blued-out 15 positions at the top of the grid. A winning combo in this game unlocks 3 random locations from this locked area.

Another element that the game has, which we should all be familiar with, is the Tumbling Reels – or Cascading Reels as they’re sometimes called.

This means that symbols involved in a winning combination get removed so others can fill their spot. It essentially creates more opportunities for additional wins.

As for the RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

, that’s a decent 96%. The volatility on this game is high, and you can place bets that start at €0.20 and go up to €10.

Features

As we'd expect, the Wild substitutes for all other symbols except the Scatter.

Now there’s this thing called Second Chance and that begins when 2 Bonus Scatters are left in the open area after the spins have been completed.

The unique selling point of the Second Chance feature is that it clears the open play area of all the symbols except the Bonus Scatter.

The Truck Raider Bonus game happens if you land 3 or more Bonus Scatters in the base game. Now, if you’ve been exceptionally lucky and managed to get 4 or more, then you’ll get an extra Expander symbol for each of these extra Bonus Scatters!

The Expander symbol randomly unlocks 3 spots in the locked area so watch out for these. Once it lands, the Booster symbol adds its value to every symbol in the unlocked area.

It’s big brother, the Super Booster symbol does the same, but it does so for the duration of the feature. When the Grabber symbol lands, it adds its value to that of every other symbol in the unlocked area.

The Super Grabber – as the Super Booster above – does the same but continues for every spin throughout the bonus game.

The bunch of dynamite sticks, the Doubler, doubles its value every time the spin counter resets to 3.

The Truck Raider Bonus game kicks off with 3 Free Spins and 3 Cash Stack symbols that are hidden in random locations. You could see an additional Cash Stack or special symbol with each spin.

Land 1 or more new symbols on a spin, and you reset the spin counter to 3. If not, each spin depletes it by 1.

Lastly, there’s also a Buy feature. You can purchase your way into the Truck Raider bonus game and – for a bit more – even get a guaranteed Doubler!

Performance

For a game that’s quite graphic intensive, I had no issues with it. Impressive stuff, Quickspin.

Max Win

When the Truck Raider bonus game ends, you could clinch a maximum of 25,000x your bet. That means a top prize of €250,000 is possible!

Conclusion

I thoroughly enjoyed playing this one. I like how it’s a concept that we haven’t seen before, and it’s stacked with unique features and symbols that can add to our experience and our pockets.

It’s also sweet to play this on a mobile phone and one-handed action is possible because it’s optimized for being held vertically.

, and a high volatility for those wanting to hijack the money truck. What more could you want?
