Chinese New Year Slot Review
I was born in the year of the Ox, which kind of makes sense when it comes to how my personality has played out. Oxen are supposed to be stubborn, stuck in their ways, and terrible at communicating with others. To be honest, the only part of Oxen characteristic’s that don’t apply to me would be that we are supposed to make faithful wives. Well, I’ll tell you one thing about me – I have the worst wandering eye ever. Monogamy? Not for me. I mean, it wouldn’t be if I could get a significant other in the first place.
Gameplay
Chinese New Year is a 5-reel, 15-payline video slot powered by software Play'n Go. Unfamiliar with the Chinese zodiac? Let the symbols be your guide! These include rats, bulls, rabbits, snakes, horses, goats, roosters, dogs, and pigs. The Wild is represented a tiger, the Scatter by a monkey, and a dragon is the bonus.
The controls are almost too simple - to the bottom left of the reels you’ll find the Home button, to the bottom right you’ll find the Menu (paytable, settings, sound), and on the right of the reels is the Spin button.
Features
So, what features can you expect from Chinese New Year.
Wild: Wild Substitutes for all symbols, except Bonus, Scatter, and extra Free Spins symbols (more on those in a sec).
Unique Features
The dragon symbol triggers the bonus game, where you can win up to 150x your bet! Landing Scatters pays 5x your total bet and triggers free spins! During free spins, the extra Scatter is active, and can be any symbol besides the other special symbols. Extra Scatter wins when it is scattered on the reels. It pays using the original symbols paytable multiplied by your total bet.
Performance
This is a fantastic slot! It boasts fun, high quality graphics, a soundtrack that is suitably Chinese in nature with a little twist here and there to keep things interesting, and it’s available to play on mobile, desktop, and tablet.
Max Win
The max coin win is 5000.
Conclusion
I’m as big a fan of this slot as I am of Chinese New Year in real life! Expect big wins, exciting features, and the kind of quality content we’ve come to expect from Play’n Go! This one really is a hell of a good time, so why not jump right in?
