Coin Up: Hot Fire Slot Review

Fire burns from 977 to around 2,732 degrees Fahrenheit, depending on a few factors. All of these temperatures would be considered hot, so thanks for the hyperbole, 3Oaks. Apparently, Coin Up: Hot Fire slot is going to be a scorcher. đŸ”„

I lived in Africa for most of my life, and the hottest temperature I think I’ve endured has been around 118 degrees Fahrenheit. And let me tell you, that’s not a whole lotta fun. đŸ„”

So, when 3 Oaks titles a game like they have this one, it could imply that either the action will get hot or we’ll get burnt. 😳 To find out which, keep reading!

Gameplay

Fans of amazing themes and superb design: RUN! You won’t get either here; Coin Up: Hot Fire slot is as stripped down as an exotic dancer performing at midday in the Sahara desert.

The game’s square-shaped, simplistic design does work a treat on a mobile device in either orientation, but portrait mode was my favorite.

To the left of the 3x3 grid are some Jackpots:

  • The Grand Jackpot pays 500x
  • The Major Jackpot pays 50x
  • The Minor Jackpot pays 20x
  • The Mini Jackpot pays 10x

Those aren’t exactly the most generous Jackpots of all time, but neither is the $72,720 top prize. The volatility rate is medium to high, the RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

is 95.75%
, and the max multiplier is 1,212x. So, not particularly riveting numbers.

You won’t be able to play with the Australian dollar or Japanese yen, and something else that you won’t come across in this game is paylines. The symbols – of which there are no regular ones – pay exclusively during the Bonus Game.

Features

STICKY COIN:

These Coins can land randomly in the base game and hang around until the Bonus Game is triggered. Sticky Coins award prizes of up to 5x your total bet. Do note, though, that if you change your bet at any point, your currently Sticky Coins will be removed from the reels.

BONUS GAME:

This feature is initiated when you land any 3 symbols on the middle row during the base game. Bonus symbols will stick to the reels and you’ll get 3 re-spins to start with.

In this variation of the beloved Hold & Win feature, newly landed Bonus symbols will reset the spin counter but Coin Up symbols won’t.

You’ll play until you run out of spins or until 9 Bonus symbols have been collected. The Grand Jackpot pays out in the latter instance.

Coins award prizes of 1x to 4x your total bet. Mini, Minor, and Major Jackpot symbols – which can appear randomly or by means of a Mystery Jackpot symbol revealing them – award their corresponding prizes.

There’s also a special, horizontal row above the grid, where Coin Up and Multi Up symbols can appear.

Multi Up symbols multiply the value of all symbols below them. These values can be stacked (added together) during the round and paid out when the feature ends.

Coin Up symbols increase the multiplier values of the Coin symbols below them; from 1x up to 5x. And why exactly is that important? Because 5x Coins will be transformed into Mystery Jackpot symbols.

As I mentioned earlier, Mystery Jackpot symbols can turn into other Jackpots but can also reveal any symbol that’s not a Sticky Coin. Mystery symbols can transform into Jackpots, Coins, or Coin Collect symbols.

Coin Collect symbols grab the values of the Coins and Jackpot symbols from the reels (multipliers are applied to these before collection). Coin Up and Multi Up symbols do their thing to Coins and Sticky Coins after collection.

BUY BONUS:

Fast-track your ass to the Bonus round for 40x your bet, or you can go for the Ultra Bonus Game for 75x.

What’s the difference between the two? The 40x option offers the regular iteration of the Bonus Game. The 75x option gives you a greater shot at the high-paying symbols.

Performance

I played the hell out of Coin Up: Hot Fire slot, and not once did it serve up an error, or make me suffer through glitches of any sort.

Maximum Win

Betting starts at $0.10 and is capped at $60. The latter, in combination with the 1,212x multiplier, results in a top payout of $72,720.

Conclusion

Mercifully, I found that the Bonus Game triggered rather frequently so I didn’t need to use the Buy Bonus as often as I thought I would. This means there’s usually a fair amount of action happening, which should keep your attention from wavering.

Coin Up: Hot Fire slot isn’t a game for high-rollers, but I think less experienced players and mobile players, especially those who aren’t hunting down massive prizes, could enjoy what it offers.
